Ellis Island no doubt. The steak is actually very good which is shocking considering the price.

I don't see any mention off their steaks being dry/wet aged which is important to me when spending that much for a steak, otherwise I'd make my own for 1/3rd the price. I may be naieve however, on steakhouses putting that on the menu but I would figure its standard practice?

On a side note, all those things about the Asian lady vs old white guy pit bosses is true. Happy to discuss through PM.
I have been to Oscar's three times. Avoid the prime rib (I got it the 1st time and it sucked) and you will be happy as my wife's filet has been perfect all three times, mine was great twice, and our guests one night were happy. It is relatively casual dress too. People were dressed all over the place.

It is an interesting layout. You can eat at the bar, in the dome, or in a private dining room called Simpatico.

Two of the three times Oscar showed up to shake hands.

When you were there, how many people at Oscar's were using the services of the "dinner companions" (or whatever they are called)? If you were with your wife, I'm assuming you didn't (just a guess), but I'm curious as to how successful that concept has been.

EDIT: I now see on the website that the women are referred to as the "Broads". Keep it classy, Oscar!

My brother and me had a great meal there. The Alaskan King Crab legs were the biggest i have ever had.

Yeah and the decor was a hoot.

I guess I didn't notice. The girls would mingle and talk to the guests, especially in the bar area, but I did not know they were for rent. I had a date (my wife) so the thought that I could borrow one did not cross my mind.

Not sure how old school the vibe is (I guess a bit old school) but the Harrah's steakhouse is pretty good. You can get a coupon at the half price ticket place as well and it drops the price quite a bit.

I like Harrah's Steakhouse. It's on the strip and the food is excellent.

I liked the Golden Steer. Pretty cool to be eating where the Rat Pack ate and the atmosphere was nice. Outside looks like a strip mall, but was very good steak.

Range imo is way overpriced for what it is. $300(incl tip) for 3 people w/no booze. Ive had much better meals for under $70/person

Bally's is another good one that comes to mind. Everyone loves Illario, the maitre d.
