I've never really considered myself a shallow person, but without a picture I can't make that decision. I can tell you though that at 280, that would put me into the category of "Chubby Chasers", which I am not. Therefor, upon further examination, I can come to the conclusion that no, I am not hitting on you.

It's looking like there won't be another report before the trip. I was going to play tonight, but we had some family drama. My 4 year old decided that an appropriate response to a kid untying his shoe was to beat the f#ck out of him. So, he's suspended from day care and wifey and I spent the evening going over what we think might bring on such behavior.
I'm arriving Thursday around 6pm local time...will post up shortly after.

While I appreciate the sentiment, I'm not sure I can get that philosophy by my wife.
I'm 18 hours out...can't wait.

Love the TR so far.
I'm T-minus 26 hours from touchdown in Vegas, can't wait. Will be following this thread over the weekend. Good luck!

Re: Old fat guy returns to Vegas...a TR - 6/14-6/24
Day 0
Ok, so it's actually Day 1 since I'll be out there later, but whatever. I'm at work right now, tunneled out to my home computer because the State of TN blocks gambling web sites like this one.
I use poker-tracking.com to track my live play, so I thought it might be fun to open up an account for this trip so that you all can see/pick on/laugh at my results. It's not as in-depth as many tracking tools, but it's a good results tracker imo. You can see my info by logging in with the information below. Also, there is no 'read only' option, so I'm just going to ask you guys not to screw with it. Obviously the only reason I'm doing it is as a companion to the tr, so if it gets vandalized it's not a huge deal, but I'm not going to bother trying to maintain it if that's happening.

I'll start off by adding in my Day -4 session, since I included it in the tr, it's part of the trip. If enough people say that this is a dumb idea I'll abandon it...oh, and somebody log into it, make sure it works, and post up. Once there are multiple sessions in there it will create a graph. I am giving my word that I will post every session, and continue doing this until the end no matter what the results are (unless everyone thinks this is lame). That way if I have a huge crash and burn it will give everyone something to point and laugh at.
I'll be leaving here in approx. 5 hours to head to the airport. Wheels down at 6:00 local time, rental car by 6:30, hotel check in by 7:00. See you all later.

Re: Old fat guy returns to Vegas...a TR - 6/14-6/24
Day 1
I made it to the airport without incident, and got to my gate plenty early. Had a nice chat with a lady waiting to fly to BWI who alleviates her fear of flying by meeting and talking to folks who are also waiting for flights. This was a welcome change from the typical stare-at-book/laptop/phone and interact as little as possible, which is increasingly the default behavior of people these days. When boarding I was lucky to get the wing seat w/ no seat in front, so the flight was comfortable. Wheels down 10 minutes early, and for bettor or worse (UCWIDT) I was in Vegas.
I use Dollar Express service for car rental, as it allows you to bypass the desk, walk directly to the lot, and get a car with minimum fuss. I peeled a 20 off my roll and tried to tip the lot guy for a free upgrade, with no success. Not a big deal, as I got a perfectly good black Nissan Altima. It was only a short walk to the car...went to the dash, got the fob, popped the trunk, and loaded my one big bag inside. Before closing the trunk, I patted my pockets to make sure I still had the fob so as to not lock it inside. I felt nothing in my left pocket, but did find it the other poc...er...more patting on the left. Feels empty. I thrust my hands into both pockets simultaneously.
My roll is gone.
I immediately drop to the ground to look all around/under the car. Nothing. Jumped up and jogged back the way I came, and ran onto two guys going to a car. "I dropped my money right here somewhere, and I'll give each of you $100 right now if you find it." Panic began to set in as I ran back over the path I'd just walked and found nothing. I know I had it right by the desk, as I had peeled the tip money just moments before. I scanned around and there was only one other person besides the two guys, and I realized that it was pretty unlikely that anyone had found it. The one other person was walking on a path that wouldn't have intersected with mine, and the two guys were ahead of me. I check my pockets again, then the back...and it was all in my left back pocket with my wallet...Jesus H.
I know that sounds ridiculous, but I _never_ put my money in my back pocket, like, ever. I've been carrying cash in my pocket outside of my wallet for 15 years or more, and I am certain that this was the very first time I've ever done that. I'm not sure if this is run-good or run-bad, but I'm glad I'm not broke before ever seeing a hand.
Back to the car, and out onto the strip. I made my customary stop at the corner 7-11 to get supplies and wash the car (Dollar cars in LV are _always_ dirty, and it tilts me, so I wash them...I know...I'm a weirdo). I made it to Bally's, checked in, tipped for an upgrade no problem, and made it to the room. Once there, I had to sit on the bed for a minute and re-enjoy the sensation of discovering my money in my back pocket. Yikes.
By the time I was settled and heading down to the floor to meet my friend Carol (3rd in the Ladie's bracelet event last year) for dinner it was about 10pm. We grabbed a quick bite and sat 1/2 mostly to hang out and have a bit of fun. I was a little too tired for a real session, as I'd been up since 4am local time on 4 hours of sleep. The game was ultra soft, which made it pretty annoying to get coolered out of $400 in about 90 minutes. The hands aren't at all interesting, so I won't bore you with the details here...every one of them involved me raising pre dominating/waaay ahead, getting out-flopped or turned, seeing it coming, and mostly losing the minimum. My A 10 v. J 10 on a J 10 5 flop; my JJ v. A4 to a 3-bet (?) flop a 4, turn a 4; my AK v. 9h7h flop A 10 7 one heart, running hearts, I bet the whole way, etc.
Ugh.
That's ok...sucks to start in the red, but I enjoyed seeing my Bally's dealer buddies, and hanging out with Carol, and today is another day. I haven't yet decided what I'm doing today...maybe 2/5 at the V, maybe DS $235 at 2pm at the Rio. It's beautiful outside, and I'm in Vegas for 10 days of pokering...I can think of a few worse spots to be in. Like, say, being completely felted without taking a hand.
Here's to some more run-good.
