Does anyone know what is going on in the valley today? I saw severeal Osprey troop transports flying really low and a quite awesome B2 flying overhead....

**** it's hot. too hot. and too early in the "summer" for this crap 10+ days in a row

I can't imagine surviving EDC even at night in this heat

google tells me to expect 117F degrees on Weds, which would tie the official record

First year I stayed at the Rio for WSOP they gave me a Masquerade room. Floor to ceiling windows. Unfortunately it didn't get below 80 in the room until 9 pm.

We had two 47/116 days in Sydney last Summer and my brain basically stopped working. Not looking forward to this next week at all

I was in Phoenix on a day it hit 121 and the airport was shut down. Got out of my car for 5 minutes to put gas in it, and it was like a blast furnace. My glasses frames heated so quickly it hurt to wear them.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Are you at the Rio? I'm coming in to the Gold Coast on Friday for two days then over to the Rio for a few more. Schlepping my bags back and forth will be the worst part, but I'll probably otherwise hole up in the Pavilion until after sundown.

Is Thursday your last day in town?

I just saw on the LV news that asphalt parking lots would be at about 170 degrees.
That explains what I was feeling years ago when I played a lot at Mandalay Bay and would park in the garage.

That 3 or 4 minute walk from my car to the elevator or stairs was extremely brutal and felt like I would die if I was in that environment for 10 minutes or more.

Yeah, if you have to park on the lower section of the Rio convention center parking lot, you probably need a gallon of water and a camel to make it up to the WSOP.
