Thanks for putting this together gobbo, had a great time chatting with you guys. I think that was the biggest cider I've ever been served.

gobbo even gave me a lift to the Bellagio afterward, where I went +$660 in 3 hours at 1/3NL, which I suppose is completely standard after losing the credit card game at the restaurant.

Yeah but you're actually good at poker, that's expected. I'm just a lolbad recfish who has to pray to the coolers god to let me get it in one time with an overset on the flop.

Pick the next food meetup place. It's almost been 24 hours already!

Yeah I was flabbergasted how good it was when I first went there. If it were closer it would be my #1 lunch spot.

Gobbo, what you wrote in your blog about thinking it was a typo and meant to be Pastry happens to anyone knew I introduce to the place. I did it my first time as well when my wife mentioned it.

A year ago or so I suggested it as a place to go for a work Christmas lunch, and three people replied with "Yes, Cornish Pastry sounds good" and one person replied "Yes, Cornish Pasty will work" along those lines. Sure enough when I asked the guy who wrote Pasty, he had been there before.

Next choice has been made. January 29th! Rollin Smoke!

This place is pretty boss. I'll just use my description from the food blog on this one:

"I definitely get this one a lot from people in the south who are here for extended periods of time. For a long time, all the BBQ we had in town was ****ty chain restaurants. In the past year or two, however, a few brothers from Arkansas came and opened up a great place called Rollin Smoke. (Thanks to Kevin Tone for pointing out this big hole in my list) Make sure you order the burnt ends. It’s off menu, but they’ll be happy to oblige."

It's super cheap and absolutely delicious. Nice little hole in the wall place in a ****ty strip mall on strip club road just next to the strip. Easily under $20 for a full meal.

Pretty amazing, I only had one suggestion, and was going to suggest exactly this spot.

The cool thing about this place is that they offer an AYCE option for $25 which allows you to order anything off the menu. Should be awesome for a group of people, we could order pretty much everything.

In.

AYCE is $35 now. The Pit Special is enough for two people and costs $20 though.

I'm in for the 29th meetup. Haven't posted on 2+2 much but just moved to Vegas and it'd be great to meet other poker folks and check out some new restaurants. Although living in Kansas City has made he inherently skeptical of any foreign BBQ.
