That's basically what I was getting at, and that a spicy tuna roll is the cheeseburger of sushi.

And you're correct, as usual.

If you like Japanese, try Raku. You may want to call ahead for rezzos though.

Yeah, Applebee's is off strip, too. What's your point?

I stand by my previous post: LOL at recommending a chain restaurant for someone looking for a place to eat.

Oh, and BTW, the spicy tuna at Yard House is probably the absolute worst garbage on their entire menu. I don't give a **** what your heritage is.

Re: Off Strip Dining / Hidden Gems

The Vietnamese food on the west side (Spring Mtn I believe) is cheap and of okay quality. It's not Cali and not Texas, but better than most places around the country I've been too (about 75% of the country).

Re: Off Strip Dining / Hidden Gems

Although I like the Yard House a lot I don't think a chain restaurant can be considered a "Hidden Gem".

Nora's on West Flamingo/Jones is worth a trip from the strip. Great Italian food at very reasonable pricing.

What's the word on that craw-fish place that was featured on Man vs. Food? That place looked pretty good. Anyone been?

if you like Thai, definitely this. The food is so good. I've seen it called the best Thai restaurant in the country in multiple reviews.

For sushi, check out Naked Fish. pretty popular among poker players, prices aren't ridiculous, and the sushi and everything else is very good.

And Ping Pang Pong, the Chinese place in the Gold Coast, is very good.

I've heard good things about the Golden Steer steakhouse on Sahara. Anyone have any experience there?
