Well fine folks of 2+2, it's finally happening. After years of planting the seeds with my company, they're finally letting me go remote in which I've decided to fulfill a longstanding dream of moving to Las Vegas.

I've wanted to move to Vegas for about a decade now and I couldn't be happier that it's all coming together. While I don't intend to pursue poker professionally, I do imagine myself grinding up the ranks and keeping an open mind to the possibilities as they unfold.

I imagine that I'll tangle with a battle hardened portion of this community at the 2/5 and 5/10 games. I eagerly await the challenge and getting to interact more with a community that I've learned a great deal from.

I love the energy of Vegas, an amalgam of adventurers and dream chasers. On a serious note would anyone have a good recommendation on finding a roommate. It's no rush for me, but of potential candidates I've examined on Craiglist, Vegas CL definitely seems to have an extra helping of sketchy =)

I imagine I'll join the Vlogging crowd at some point if I feel I need a creative outlet or that I can offer an interesting perspective. Also any food rec's would be greatly appreciated. Whether you read this or I immediately fell in the bucket of who the f### cares, I hope you'll have a great evening.

Cheers - JT

What is you main reason apart of wanting to be apart of the community?

I hate the place tbh, i'm generally there one month in the year during WSOP and always thrilled to leave again.

Thank you for your suggestions, I look forward to trying them out. For me Vegas, is like the crush that you had in high school, but never worked out. It's like now is the Reunion and now the stars are aligned. I love the electricity and diversity. I wish you luck in your current local and maybe we will cross paths at the Series.

Would anyone be interested in forming a poker discussion group IRL?

There are a handful of them. We had one that started as a poker group with hand histories and discussions, and there's still some of that, but it's mostly used for the occasional game night or get together, or all of us registering for the same donkament and doing last-longer bets.

There's still a group that meets at Ricardo's Mexican restaurant every Wednesday afternoon. It's mostly middle age rec-semi players but everyone there is pretty friendly and discuss hands every week. How well they break them down varies tho :P

I really meant to try that when I went this year. Next year I will make more effort.
