Just curious,

4 guys staying at the MGM and playing lots of BJ and Dice. Could we accumulate our comps and get a table/bottle service at Wet Republic on Saturday?

The Mlife site sucks so bad. Super slow and I checked room rates for fall trip and absolutley no discounts anywhere. Its too bad because I like there properties way better than CET.

If you hate the site, check out the Iphone app, it is hilariously bad.

Also F them for not getting on the Bravo Poker bandwagon like every other casino in America.

I can log in but they don't even have my future trips (I have two) listed. They also decided to have a separate app for every individual casino for some reason! You can download the Luxor app, the Excalibur app, etc. Why?! And unlike every other strip casino they won't get on Bravo, so you can't see what games are going at Aria or Bellagio without calling the rooms. Such a stupid company.

They do list their semi-current games on their twitter feed, which is on the Aria app. Still, it's a highly idiotic way of doing it and the Bravo app would be better.

does anyone happen to know how often MGM properties reset the poker room comp values?

I should have much more than indicated last time I checked.

truth is... it's only as accurate as the people that are working in the rooms since it's manually updated.

Bumping this...

What are the current best/fastest was to get to 200k tier credits to get the Platinum card?

Table games earn 30 tier credits per $ theo so you need to generate $6700 theo. BJ generates theo at 0.525 average bet per hour, e.g. $1000 average bet = $525 theo per hour.

Regular slots are $3 coin-in per 10 TC = $60,000 coin-in. Video poker and specialty slots are $10 coin-in per 10 TC = $200,000 coin-in.

Pick your poison and good luck.

Thanks for this info.

I would think the pit seems bad because you have to rely on them to correctly report what you are betting and for how long. Guess it could work in your favor as well.

I'm just shy of 100k tier credits now and thought about making the push to Platinum. Doesn't seem worth it with this info your providing meph

it makes no sense to gamble for the purpose of earning points to get comps. why would you risk losing thousands of dollars when you just spend a portion of that money to pay for your expenses? this way you are not influenced by how long/how much you gamble in order to earn enough points to get comps. I never understood that logic.

Agree with this. If I can't attain "status" by spending significant dollars on room and board, then I don't want status. After 10 nights in MGM properties this year and significant poker/table game and slot play (that I can actually afford), I'm pushing 100K credits. I'm back for 8 nights in October, and if I don't attain platinum, then oh well. I don't think it's worth it to gamble my way there.

Under no circumstances should you consider doing this without first reading "Comp City" by Max Rubin. It will help you maximize what you're trying to do. Plus, it's a really fun read.

I'm platinum and the only benefit of value you get over Gold is skipping valet/taxi lines. Comps are driven by ADT (average daily theo). I'd not chase it.

agree additional benefits you get from platinum over gold are marginal but it requires additional 125K points which is absurd. i have to admit it's nice to skip lines (check-in, buffet, cafe, etc) though. you don't need platinum for this. just gold is enough.

If one were inclined to earn tier credits relatively cheaply, one might play

$1 x50 9-6 DDB QQ

or

$25 8-5 BP Prog

The best no risk way to get a platinum Mlife card is to be a Diamond member with Hyatt. MGM and Hyatt have an agreement that allows Hyatt members to get Mlife status based upon their Hyatt status.

You can do the Diamond challenge. You have to stay 9 stays in a 90 day period. That's how I got my Diamond status.

Agree. I'm platinum too and it doesn't mean dick. Aside from the taxi/valet line-jumping (which is almost never much of a big deal), you get 30% tier multiplier instead of 20%. BFD.

I'll third this.

Gold + good enough play for good offers/comps (which is sort of random and varies) is where the most advantages are.

There is little I like better than going to invited guest check in, skipping the massive line at Aria/MGM/Luxor etc and then getting the no-$20-trick comp upgrade to a suite (full comp also varies due to occupancy/length of stay).

Gold + playing what I like to play (mostly Video Poker, double double bonus or GTFO) has been pretty successful this year as far as offers and comp value/benefits
