Do I Need an MLife/Total Rewards Card to Play Donkaments? Do I Need an MLife/Total Rewards Card to Play Donkaments?

Hello. I'm going to be in town for a few days this week, and am planning on playing several Dailies. Probably at the Mirage, Treasure Island, Bally's and Harrah's.

Do they make you show a MLife/ Harrahs Total Rewards Card at these properties in order to register for tournaments? I'm not playing cash games and don't have these cards, and don't really want to sign up for them.

And if you DO have to have a card when registering for the Dailies do you have to show them the physical card or can they look up your name without having to show the card? Worse comes to worse I could sign up for both cards on-line today so I would be in the "system".

Thank you for any info..

Yes, every casino will make you have a player's card in order to play. As far as having the physical card on you, I'm not sure. My guess would be they'd just print a new card for you.

No you do not. They will accept either your mlife or just your state ID. but the Mlife is not a requirement to play. I do the AM tourneys at most Mlife places - never had a problem with it.

Thanks for the above responses..even if they did have conflicting information of each other. :-)

Does anyone else have any info?

I play mostly tournaments in SoCal and some rooms make you have a card, and others do not..not sure about the protocol is in Vegas.

Worst scenario would be to sign up for a tournament right when it is about to start and being refused since I didn't have a players card..

You mostly need a card. What might happen if you don't have a card is you provide ID, but that probably means they're either checking to see if you're in the system and if you're not, adding you.

And seriously, just go get the damn cards. Takes but a minute.

OP,

What are you trying to hide? The process typically takes <60 seconds.

I do believe Jimmy Beam is correct though, that at least some places will accept your valid ID for entry and not require a card.

What's your aversion specifically here to a Player's Card so that we might be able to help you better?

I'm guessing you're banned from some properties. No?

Why would you think I was trying to hide something just because I don't want to sign up for player cards?

I don't play slots, pit or cash games, so why would I voluntarily give personal information to M and Harrahs-Caesars so I can be spammed?

I just can't think of a rational reason not to simply just sign up for the card and quickly explain to them not to email me or mail me.

I mean, you could also just give them a fake email address and fake physical address just as easily.

Anyway, good luck at the tables.

Takes longer to start this thread than to sign up for mlife, and total rewards combined

Pretty sure neither Bally's or TI need or want a card. No comps for playing a tournament, so they would mostly just chuckle and hand the card back to you. They don't need your name unless you cash. They might want to see ID if there's any chance you could be under 21.

WSOP is a different story, they want a card for everything. No idea why.

I don't think PHo asked me for a card even for the Phamous series. Maybe you look younger than you think.

I don't play tournaments at Bally's(LV) but I am pretty sure about 6 months ago they started paying a set amount of tier credits and comps for the daily donkaments and tournament series.

I am thinking Caesars does the same so maybe its all Caesars properties in vegas.
