I booked a flight to Vegas from 25 September till 21 December just to play poker.

The casino's I will be playing at are Aria, Bellagio, Venetian and Wynn.
My bankroll is 8700$ and I start playing 2/5 NLH and after my bankroll hits 12K I will also play 5/10 NLH.
I will be playing 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, only cash games, hoping to hit a total of 18K$ of profit after 88 days.

This will be my daily blog for my (poker-) friends so they can see how I am doing.

Some questions I have for all of you:
1) Can you recommend some cheap place (hotel, appartment or ...) where I can best stay when playing my 512 hours of poker?
Up untill now I have a place which costs 54$ a night including tax which is a 15 minutes walk from the Wynn.

2) I want to drop the 8700$ as soon as possible at one of the 4 casino's. Any tips about this?

3) Are there any deals (like freerolls for 40 hours a week locals) that will be interesting for me?
Where should I ask for these deals?

4) The stats that I will post here will be: hours played, net profit/loss (the daily and total numbers).

Hope to hear from you and I will keep you all updated, ML

Check the Imperial Palace, kinda dingy but cheap and close to the other properties. As a bonus, it is usually full of drunken sluts on the weekends.

PS: I will be there at that time and will hold your bankroll for you.

88 days in IP, seriously? Also, IP is not that cheap for a longer term stay.

Its been mentioned before and ive seen it advertised a couple of times around... clarion on convention center drive is is offering 825/month no tax no deposit. The units theyre renting out are former timeshares, but beyond that I know nothing.

If you decide to go check it out, please include a tr.

Ask a brush. TBH, though, if youre at the 2/5 level, almost none of the deals will be as +ev for you as being able to select your games/hours.

CET properties are apparently giving rewards points for poker play now, and you should be able to get diamond pretty quickly playing full time. Thats probably your best bet for a promotion, but there aren't many big CET poker rooms. Caesars itself is the only one that even manages a somewhat regular game above 1-2

Greetings Marta,

Welcome and have fun on your journey.

After a week or two of being on the strip it gets old real quick. There are hundreds of ads on craigslist everyday for apartments or rooms to rent away from the strip. The going rate is $400-500 per month, everything included. I think you can easily justify buying a car for your stay, and then sell it when you leave. The main cage at the Bellagio is probably the best place for your money. Best wishes...

Main cage? They might require you to be staying at the hotel. If you can get a box at a poker room you usually don't, but they are hard to get at the big casinos.

Wynn had a freeroll promotion awhile ago, don't know if it's still going. Check Bravo Live for that sort of thing.

@jcorb I surely will miss the drunken sluts
@AEPpoker I booked the 825 deal at Clarion like you suggested. Many thanks for the tip.
@Everybody Thanks for all your tips and replies. I will keep you updated.

Some new questions I have:
1) My main pokerrooms will be Aria, Bellagio, Venetian and Wynn. Does anybody know if there are other rooms in Vegas that have a 2/5 NLH running 24/7?
2) I mostly check the "BravoPoker Live" app to see the current games at Wynn and Venetian. Are there any other apps (or websites, not twitter) where I can see the current games at Aria, Bellagio and others?
3) Now that I am living near the Wynn, does anybody have a good/cheap suggestion for food (places to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and a good supermarket)?
4) What will the weather do in Vegas from now till december 21? What kind of clothes do I need to bring mostly (jacket/sweater needed?)?
5) Any other tips for me (like safety issues: where not to go, scams, etc.)?

Transportation is important. You can waste a lot of time and money on taxi's and public tansportation getting from one end of the strip to the other. If a car is not practical for you, buy a scooter for $600 bucks..NV dosen't require a licnese, or insurance, or registration for the little scooters. Having the ability to easily move from the Wynn to the Bel whenever you feel like will pay for the scooter the first week. Then sell it when you leave for about the same as what you paid for it.

Marta, Venetian is offering $2 an hour comps right now. You can get a free meal from their table side service or the Grand Lux Cafe which has good food everyday if you are grinding there.

How do you like the clarion? Did you book it online? I might do this for next month so I can properly find an apartment.
