Mirage 11am and 2pm Tournaments vs Treasure Island's? Mirage 11am and 2pm Tournaments vs Treasure Island's?

Going to be staying at the Mirage on a Wednesday-Thursday in a few weeks. My wife has a conference to attend both days, so I was looking to play two tournaments each day..an 11 am (or earlier) and a 2 pm one.

Since I won't have a car, what are my best options, as far as proximity and structures?

I loved playing the Aria 1pm, but I need to be completely done by 6pm for dinner with the wifey. I know the Aria goes quite late.

It looks to me my best options are the Mirage, Treasure Island, and possibly Harrahs, across the street.

I prefer 20 minute levels (as opposed to 15) and buy ins around $60 each, or so. I saw the thread of TI's "Everyone cashes" tournaments, and I wouldn't be adverse to playing there.

Thanks for any response.

Play the TI since your not adverse to playing it. Structure and time limit fits your needs + Chris the floor Sup over there can tell his bosses his 2+2 account was worth it because he drew a new runner to the "everyone makes $20" tourney

Now stop overthinking donkaments and go have a blast.

Get the Mirage lunch Buffett Togo and eat upstairs or in the sportsbook for a quality lunch, alone for $17 bucks. Hard to beat and way better than slumming across the street to McDs, chipotle, Panda Express etc

Mirage poker room is about 100 feet form Carnegie's. That makes for a good lunch too.

How about trying the Ballys? There's a guarantee at the 2PM (? not 100% sure of the time)

Bally's was the other one I was thinking of trying. Not sure how many runners they get. I read somewhere that Harrah's can get 60-80 for their donkaments, but I try to avoid anything Harrah's, if possible.

Just noticed that the Mirage 2pm now has 20 minute levels..when I looked on their website a few days ago it said 15 minute levels. Obv. Mirage would be the most convenient for me since I am staying there.

I appreciate all the info..if time wasn't an issue, I would just play the Aria daily with its superior structure..

Those turbo events are ridiculous. It's not poker, it's bingo. To each their own but those events don't provide enough value for me

Ballys dailies are depressing and quick. Mirage is a much nicer atmosphere and you get more play for your buck.

Great, thanks for the info about Bally's. I heard the Quad dailies are terrible too.

I'm thinking for this part of the strip, at around $60, Mirage is the best choice for daytime Donkaments, slightly over TI, who is a close second. Looking for a 3-4 hour tournament, with a player pool of 40+ entrants..

How is a 15min level tourney 4 hours? The Ballys are quick because it ends up being in your best interest to chop

Read again. Mirage and Treasure Island are both 20 minute levels..which typically equates to a 3-4 hour tournament.

That is why I don't want to play 15 minute levels, like they have at the Quad and elsewhere..

Check out allvegaspoker for good info on the tourneys around town. I wouldn't bother with these 15-20 min lvl tournies tho. Just play cash

3-4 hours on Wed-Thurs huh? And you're basing that on wanting 40 runners huh?

Going to be hard to meet those things. If Mirage gets 40 runners during the week, let me know - I think that would be very, very interesting.

Mirage during the week will be 10-25 players. Ballys will be more like 8-15

+1. No way that's a 4 hour affair. Even 20 runners is a high number, won't come anywhere near 40. OP needs to reset expectations
