MGM comps...how should I use them? MGM comps...how should I use them?

I am currently in Vegas from the UK and it's my second trip this year.

I have over $60 in M-Life comps and I think I lose them if I don't use them by the end of the year, is this right?

If it is, then other than using them for food...what would be a good use for them? Or even, what else can I use them for?

I'm staying at a CET proerty so I can easily use my Total Rewards reward credits up...but unsure how I can use my M-Like points...

Thanks

Are there no kiosks in the entire place? I even asked the guy at the security desk, ya know like every other casino, kiosks, where I can swipe and get my point balance, etc. He pointed me towards the mlife desk with real people ... and a line ... Not what I was looking for.

I even made the hand gesture, swipe my card ... he was not a very observant security guy.

Can you get points transfered into freeplay?

Are you guys talking about poker room comps or comps you get in a slot machine? There is a difference between the two at MGM properties. Poker room comps will definitely not get you any freeplay.

If you're talking about comps you get in the slots, put your card into a machine and it will tell you about stuff like freeplay. If you only get comps in the poker rooms and put your card into a machine, you will have nothing showing on the card. You have to ask someone in the poker room to check for you if that's the case.

Also MGM properties are a joke when it comes to comps and players cards. You should not expect much at all and expect to get much less than you would at other places.

The reason he was confused is it's super easy to check that stuff if you put your card in one of the machines. Yeah I guess a kiosk could give you more info but MGM does not give out many comps, and probably doesn't want to make it too obvious that their comps and offers suck.

I don't play machines, or anything else, just poker. I noticed they have an old machine with friggin horses, like little felt horses that run around a track and people were betting on that thing like crazy! Blows my mind. Flip a coin with your friends and save the rake ... but see, that's the thing. I'm a poker player. Not my first rodeo. I won a $400 pot today and I tipped $2.

I guess I should just talk to the guys at the poker desk more, and maybe also tip them as well.

Okay well in that case you will have to ask someone in the poker room to check. Also, comps in the poker room are separate from the slot machine comps, and can only be used on that property (so you can't use MGM poker room comps at Aria/Mirage/Bellagio/Excalibur/etc.). And you will definitely not get freeplay or any type of cash for them. But they might decide to take away comps without telling you first (happened this summer).

So poker room comps can be used .... to buy food. Got it. Anywhere in the casino? Is it $1 per hour?

???? I don't get how this post relates to the conversation in this tread. The guy is asking about how to spend his comps. What are you talking about?

Congrats on the $400 pot, this must be a big day for you.

Wtf bro? Ihave been in town 2 weeks exactly, played there 3 times and was confused and asking questions about comps.

If you read from the top down, it's not a simple question and answer kinda thing. I still don't know how I can use my points. "Maybe" for food, sometimes.

so, wtf?

MLife comps are on your players card, and can be used at any MGM owned property. Use them for apparel, Xmas shopping in their casino stores. Better shops include Bellagio, Aria, MGM. You can blow the entire $60 on just one golf shirt.

I do not think they can transfer to any free play. If it were me, I'd use it for food at someplace worth it; Bardot, Stack, any Bellagio eats.

Most complex reward system ever devised;probably so you won't use them. No one at MGM or the Bank,1st Omaha, is versed in this program yet. Do not confuse comps with MGM rewards. The rewards come through the card. With a lot of work you can get those reward points transferred ti EXPRESS points and then you can use that for your room. Great company MGM.
