Re: A Main Event Rookie Lives the Dream - A trip report

1-secret-1,

thanks for sharing your history w/ us. this thread is the best thread i have ever read in the whole internet. actually this is the best thing i read in a while... already linked to many friends and also to my father.

i really like the whole history: you being 38y old w 4kids and wife, high school teacher (damn it, i wish i had a teacher like you!) and you coach football!!! thats amazing!!! i also love the fact you knew you probably was the ''fish'' latter in the tournament, but instead of chicken out, you played your game w/ you own reads, being confident on them !!! i also love the hard work before playing main event.. eating well, exercise, driving 1hour to pratice deep stack live poker.

you are my idol.

Interested to know what happened this year. OP had a free entry from FTP due for cashing last year, did he get it?

LVL HoF:

MTTs - this thread, hands down...amazing. It was awesome to see your writing style evolve and develop over the course of the thread. I was quite disappointed that you turned out to not actually be a hedgehog.

cash - MM or Shaffer

general TRs - rockfish

Did my 4 or so hours of reading this and I applaud you for this! The info. is very in depth for the 6 days that you survived. What ever happened to this last year (2011)? No such luck in the Satellites?
Thanks
