Turns out I had forgotten to lock it and the maid who found it wide open called security who kept it in their safe. I tipped the very honest maid $500 and trippled checked the safe from then on.

yeah i'm actually amazed at how honest most maids are. i regularly leave laptops, small bills, etc lying around and have never had any problems. i assume its just an issue of job security for them, as i'm guessing that if a guest reported a theft it would be pretty easy to track down which maid cleaned the room and fire them if they have a decent case.

also, please don't make your safe combos 1234 or 2580 (which is going right down the middle column). my friends who were staying in another room had that as their combo and we guessed it and took all their stuff out as a joke. same goes for an iphone password, haha.

So I'm heading off to Vegas for Spring break (March 16th-20th) and was wondering what some awesome things for my girlfriend and I to do are. We're staying at the Venetian fwiw.

EDIT: Also where are some good tournaments and omaha games during this time?

Re: General Vegas Discussion/Questions/ETC - Post your quick questions here

Does anyone have any contacts or anything for a host or someone that can setup a good price for me and my group for a night at PURE or Tao? I'm going to Vegas with about 5-9 others (still waiting for confirmation) in April (will be between 1 guy per1 girl or 1 guy per 1.5 girls) and was just hoping to hit up one of the two for one night at a booth.

And does anyone have any newer updates on prices per bottle?

Hey Las Vegas Lifestylers,

I troll here a litte, taking the wife to Vegas for a quick 2 day trip with about 4 couples.

Were staying at Red Rock, and everyone has rooms so that wont be changing.

What is absolutely a do not miss if your at Red Rock? Is there anything within walking distance from it that we should make sure to do? The whole crew will only be there for like 3 days, mostly drinking, I will hit up the 2/5 NL for sure and were going on Friday - Saturday.

If we want to club a bit, we should get bottle service? Where's the best hanging out and chillin in VIP spot at red rock most of us are double incomers and married but 30-35

thanks in advance for any tips for a fun weekend at Red Rock

Red Rock is great, my favorite place in Vegas. But I'm not a clubber. They do have one called Cherry, no idea where it falls on the Vegas cool-meter.

My "do not miss" at Red Rock is- wait for it- gambling. I'm not really sure what kind of answer you're looking for to this question.

There's nothing of note within walking distance. It's in the suburbs, so there's a generic shopping center across the street with all your standard soulless chain stores/restaurants, pretty much the same thing as every other intersection in off-strip Vegas. You're not far from Red Rock Canyon though if that's your bag.

I found a link the other day showing all the casinos in Vegas daily tournament schedule. I tried to search for it but to no avail. I am wondering if someone could post that link
Thanks

Married couples going to a Vegas casino club? Seems like a huge waste of money if you're not trying to score some tail.

Anyone know a particular part of vegas that would be good to rent a 5-8 bedroom house in over the summer? thanks.

I have about 500,000 yen, (~5k USD).
What's the best way to convert foreign currency in town?
BofAmerica will charge me ~5%, so I'd like to do better than that.

Leave the money in your Japanese bank account and use an ATM to withdraw in dollars after you get to Vegas. Works all over the world for my American checking account so I imagine it would be same-same for a Japanese bank account.
