Man, I've never thought about the club. Everytime I hear someone talk about it, it seems so damn expensive.

Go on one of the pub crawl things. And yeah everyone loves donking it up for cheap.

Good call, brother. Any rooms in particular that I should be looking into? I'm sure I'll frequent flamingo, Harrahs, and get in touch with my inner WT downtown. The classy casinos are cool and all but I'll feel more in my element at the others.

You guys must run pretty bad. Obviously there are plenty of scumbags at the poker tables but I am meeting a ton of cool and interesting people at the tables these past couple of weeks, running the gamut from local pros to real-life-success folks to straight up degens with Seven Stars cards.

Methinks I'm going to pick a drink of the day each day to really binge on. I'll supplement whatever it is with beers and such but that could be fun. From reading previous TRs, a greyhound would be a good one for one day.

Anyone stay at Golden Gate recently? Found sound decent rates for the time I am going to be in town, but the room photos vary so much from site to site.

Rooms are very small and bathrooms are not nice-also make sure you get a room that is not facing Fremont st as they will be unbeatably loud

That being said if all your looking for is a place to crash it will meet your needs, beds are decent

Any bar/lounge show the Formula One races? I'll be there for two of the races in July on a solo trip and would like to see them someplace more social than my hotel room. Even if you're not sure, let me know your fav sports bar and I can check them out ahead of time.

All three July races are in Europe which means 5AM starting time in Vegas. Not many bars are open at that time.

FWIW, they are shown on CNBC/NBCSN.

Thanks. I'm hoping for an evening rebroadcast, but if not I'll be watching replays on the NBCSN website in my room.

If the price is the same on Cosmo and bellagio and its all other things being equal. Cosmo is a snap buy , do the 20 dollar trick and get a balcony strip view too.

Question about Venetian/Palazzo:

So I had a night of gambling where I probably averaged 2-300 a hand for several hours. Today I got an email offering 3 comp nights in a suite + 300 in free bets and 100 dining credits. I would like to take advantage of this but don't plan on gambling. In the fine print it says "this offer is expressly conditioned upon recipient maintaining his or her historical level of play as of the mailing date of this offer. Failure to maintain historical level of play may result in revocation of offer."

Does this mean they might charge me for the rooms when I checkout if I don't play? I've never heard of that and I certainly wouldn't book it if that is the case. Thanks in advance

They could theoretically do that, but much more likely they would just take away your future offers. Still, I think you'd be best off doing at least a little gambling each day, so it doesn't look like you're doing nothing at all.

Anyone ever gotten a roll away mini fridge at Aria? Assuming it's your standard run of the mill mini fridge? Guess it can't hurt to ask here before finding out in a few days...

I was at the mirage sports book room and wanted to watch the dodgers since I bet on them and they wouldn't or couldn't put the game on idk, said something about when the dodgers play at home you won't find them on the Tvs in the sports books in vegas due to cable companies or something...they're playing at the angels tonight, if I go down to strip in a sports book to watch will they be on a tv since they aren't at dodger stadium?

For years dodger games have been blacked out of vegas because its considered their home team. Home and away games. I guess its still in order.

Away games blocked in a home market? That is bizarre, and seems like it would have the effect of losing loyalty for your team.

The angels broadcast should be available. Tonight is one of those rares nights that I can have a Dodger game on TV while being in the LA market.

a short version of senator kevin's article - dodger games are on time warner now and they are blacked out everywhere unless you get that provider. time warner is not available in las vegas. for years, dodger games used to be shown regularly on fox sports west - we got all of them here.

angels games are still on fox sports west so yes the game tonight will be on TV.

lol Aria wanted 25 a night! I paid 25 for one the entire stay at a nameless hotel last year. MGM PGP creeps in everywhere.

I'm only platinum but got a missed call from vegas then a email saying I qualified for a host in vegas. I so highly over thought who they're reserved for and what it entitles you to, I thought scam. Then they pop up in the tr app available to call. Funny too, the email says, call me to book your best available offer. I thought hosts were call, say I'm coming to town, and ok sir happy to have you haha not call and ask what offers, and they're like, you have rooms available at flamingo, sun-thurs

I can't imagine it having any more benefits than available through the app. I can't skip the buffet line and I need a host? Haha I'm such a low roller every one must be getting this
