TAG bar is the nuts. Todd English Pub at Aria is pretty good. And I haven't been to the Vegas Yard House, the one by my old house back east was awesome, chain or not.

Random fun fact, you can't book consecutive stays on an MLife offer. Have you have at least 72 hours of separation between stays.

Going to be in town for one night tonight with a diverse group. Needing a place to buy a couple of 4- or 6-packs of craft beer, some cigars, some pipe tobacco if the one guy makes it. Preferably all at the same place. Any recs for something within walking distance of 4Q or will an Uber be needed?

ABC Store on Fremont is probably the easiest and might have everything. The Market 611 Fremont Street, will have the best beer selection but probably not the tobacco products. Vato Cigars is inside Binions and they might have what you are looking for.

Prolly depends on the kind of room you'll stay in. Have been to Signature for 4+ weeks in the past and really enjoyed it. Had the one bedroom suite and thought that was plenty of room for two people. Never used the kitchen (except for drinks in the fridge) and bathroom hot tub though, so could have done without those.

Funny thing is that you are at lots of places inside MGM faster if you stay at the Signature than at a regular room within MGM that's not close to an elevator. You can also choose between using the Signature pools/gym or the ones at MGM.

Hi everyone,

I was just browsing through a few MGM sites, counting down the days until my next trip to Vegas, and I noticed that all the MGM properties seem to have a special offer atm of two free breakfast or lunch buffets per night of stay.

This seems like a very strong offer indeed, and would basically wipe out the resort fee if you really tried to get value from it. Is there anything I'm missing?

I'm not certain I'll be able to decide on travel dates before the offer closes tomorrow. What's the chance it will be repeated before I fly over in December?

Thanks in advance.

i could be completely wrong (and it wouldn't be the first time), but your post reads like you're a shill for MGM.

Sick value indeed. If I could ever wake up before noon I'd definitely hop right on that offer!

I can certainly see why you'd think that! All I can do is protest my innocence.

However, if anyone from MGM is reading this and you are interested in hiring a new shill, please send me a PM. I am:

*A disciplined, motivated and proactive individual.
*A team player.
*Sufficiently in need of money to eat the same buffet for nearly two weeks.
*Told that Aria suites are very nice and in relatively low demand in early December (cough cough).

Can you keep your cash in an account in the poker rooms? Which rooms offer what exactly and is it free of fees and catches?

Hey, not sure if this is the best place to post.

Late decision to go to Vegas for a group of 4 for 8-10 nights. Going end of june, playing some of the mixed game wsop events and other hotel mixed game tournaments

No idea on hotels. Our requirements: nice pool area, on strip. Convenience to getting to Rio and then cheap as possible are the only other metrics. Any tips

Thanks.

Flamingo might be your best bet. Center strip and easy walk to Ballys for free shuttle to Rio or a short Uber/Taxi ride.

Gonna shotgun some questions here. Please and thank you.

1. Any noteworthy poker rooms in vegas not on Bravo app?
2. Any rooms regularly spreading low stakes plo besides Aria? Regularly as in most days/most times (not just usually has a few on the wait list, but table rarely goes).
3. During wsop though, you would expect the wsop cash game room to spread low limit plo most of the time?

1 No
2 Probably the next most likely is Venetian, but dk how regular.

I have to clear something up about the Flamingo pool. If you want a crowded party pool it is fine. But if you want a place to relax, swim and have some space I would not recommend the Flamingo. Also, as far as party pools go, there are much better in Vegas than the outdated, small, and crowded Flamingo pool area.

But the Flamingo is cheap and near the RIO so it might fit your criteria.

During the wsop it's likely that you will find low stakes plo at Wynn and Venetian too.

Thank you. Unrelated followup question. I plan to make time to finally see Hoover Dam and don't want to rent a car. It's hard to tell the difference between all the different tour companies. Govt site says there are 2 different tours, powerplant tour and dam tour. But then there's also an option for 'private tours' which I assume is what these vegas tour companies are doing.

Is there a particular tour company you recommend as being better than the others for some reason or are they all going to be pretty much the same and I should just go for lowest cost?

No canoeing or helicopter or anything. Just a ride to the dam, a tour inside the dam, and a small amount of time to take photos on top, and a ride back.

All the groups describe their tours a little differently so its hard to tell if they are different tours, or if they just use different words for same thing.

How bad are the rooms at Monte Carlo? My gf has a free room offer; the choice is that or Luxor, Excalibur or NYNY. I was thinking MC just because it's closer to the real poker rooms. Luxor would throw in an upgrade to their new "Cleo" room, whatever that is, but is kinda far.

Is there any reason to choose otherwise? Or, anything special about Luxor's Cleo rooms that would be worth the extra walk?

edit: There's an extra $50 food credit at Luxor/Excalibur, too. Is anything even edible at those places though?

All the rooms I've ever been in at those places have sucked. Tacos and tequila is a decent place to burn a $50 food credit at Luxor.

Out of those choices I would probably go NYNY (which is next to the Monte Carlo). It has the best casino of the four, it is close to the MGM poker room which sees good activity, and it is fairly close to the Aria.

I probably wouldn't go near the Luxor and the Excal is not much better. Monte Carlo is meh and suffering from a renovation project at the moment.
