So consensus is that flamingo or linq are my best bet, and we absolutely want to be on the strip?

Flamingo is pretty bleh IMO unless they received some update I don't know about. Linq is far superior.

Gold coast fits that.

AirBnB.com. You can even find a lot of properties where the host speaks Spanish and a bunch are under $100 a night.

Sorry for amateur hour here boys, but any weekly tourney recommendations up to $500? I'm used to having to wait for quarterly livaments around here $550 10k reentry 30min lvls.
Absurd amount of selection from what I see, which is expected. What would you guys recommend for an earlyish start during the week.. stupid question I guess.

And Wynn/Encore, Aria, and Venetian are probably your best bets.

to be fair, the ants were probably there for all the doritos crumbs around the bed and then just happened to crawl on the CPAP

I'm more surprised at the fact that the Rain Forrest Cafe lasted more than 20 years at MGM! Another relic of the Las Vegas Family era has bitten the dust.

Also surprised it was still open. Guess it has been a while since I was in the main part of MGM.
So gimmicky with terrible food.

Don't cry too many tears for Tilman Fertitta. He still has plenty of other businesses open in Vegas.

Staying on the strip is a lot like being stuck on a crowded, very expensive ocean liner. It has every sort of entertainment, along with the homeless and every kind of crazy imaginable. Lots of people love it, Some are repelled by it.

Like someone else said, airbnb is a good alternative and then go to the strip for shows or poker.

Thanks for the advice. I think first time around the strip may be the way to do it. If I plan a tourney grind in the future perhaps I'll airbnb. We're trying to limit a car rental to one day.

Any value based tips for food/transportation? Gf wants to check out the canyon. From what I understand that's a day in itself. Are there group rates from the strip or anything like that? Any cheapish ~50ea shows we should peep?

Imo, the best cheap show on the strip is carrot top at the Luxor. One of the best stand up sets I've seen in a while. I got second row for 65 I believe
