LV city buses are also your friend. #202 is a straight shot across Flamingo to the Rio, 1 hour + $3 (actually 7.2 miles). Bus runs every 15 minutes, use Google Maps and click on the little bus icon.

Spend the $62 you'll save on hookers and blow. Who knows, you might even be able to acquire these on the bus.

LOL at the notion of taking a 1 hour city bus, or paying $65 for a cab ride.

The Uber fare estimate from Sam's Town to Bellagio is currently $18-24.

It depends on whether the OP is priced in. Assume Uber is $20. Does the OP value his time at more, or less, than $(carfare-bus fare)/duration of trip or, in this example, $17/hour?

If less, he is +EV riding the bus.

Hi all, me and a couple of buddies will be heading to Las Vegas for opening weekend of college football, and I was considering whether or not we should book a private section in the sports book. I'm not too familiar with what the benefits are or how much it's going to set us back, eg is it worth it. I can get some of this by calling them but also I'm curious of other people's experience.

I did a quick search and want able to find anything, any help / comments appreciated.
Thanks

If so he better be studying poker on that bus ride so he can get to a $20++ WR

It's going to take at least 20 minutes to Uber across town anyway, so you can add another 50% on to the hourly rate that he needs to cover.

I think you mean 100%. He needs to value his time at >=$34/hr to cover (he is saving $17 at a time cost of an extra 1/2 hour on the bus).

The fact that OP is sleeping in his friend's room at Sam's Club suggests that buying his own room could be problematic; I would therefore opine that the $3 bus ride might be the more attractive option for this individual.

Also if you are at Sam's you can take the express bus up Boulder Highway directly to downtown Las Vegas.

Should be legit as long as you are given a url starting with lyft.com/ with the coupon stuff being after the slash.

No, I meant 50%, because I estimated Uber as taking 20 minutes, so the time cost would be an extra 40 minutes on the bus. You changed the estimate to Uber taking 30 minutes, so only 30 minutes extra on the bus. The longer that Uber takes, the more your hourly rate would have to increase to make up for the extra cost.

Lyft has people all over the country handing those out, so should be legit.

Damn all these trip reports are giving me the itch to take a solo trip to Vegas for the next 3 days. If I wasn't catching up from being out of the country I'd ****ing be there now to grind some cash games.

At least a warm long sleeve shirt. I always bring one and need to put it on about half the time in various casinos

It's only weird if you actually call it a bookbag in the casino.
