Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc

Does anyone have a complete list of all the restaurants that accept Venetian poker room comps. I know it is not every restaurant on the Venetian property. In an addition it might be worthwhile if we have an evaluation of them. I think Grand Luxe (owned by The Cheesecake Factory) and the food court are decent and give good value. I don't really know about others. I have heard that Noodle Asia is not so good anymore, but I have never eaten there.

Thanks, all, for the info - disappointing about Noodle Asia, if true. With the current remodel going on, I was going to blow off a couple bucks in the pit before my flight and literally could not find the PGP tables.

What casinos either have, or a willing to do SNGs?

Of the ones that do, are any of them decent structures?

Buy ins?? Payouts???

IMO it's pointless to get a parking pass for the V poker stalls because 1) there is always ample parking in the V parking structure; 2) there is always even more ample parking in the Palazzo parking structure, and it's closer to the V poker room; and 3) valet is free.

I don't think any will do SNGs anymore. See:

Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc

Hey all,

Quick question, hope this is the best place to ask it:

- I'm planning a 7 or 8 day trip to Vegas 2nd or 3rd week of August. 2nd time going, but first time going alone to play a ton of poker.

What's the best way to get good rates in a strip hotel?
- priceline?
- vegas deals websites?
- contacting the hotels directly and getting a poker player rate?
- other?

Many thanks for your advice.

FYI, hotels I'm considering: Aria, Bellagio, Cosmo, Vdara... Any comments on these are also welcomed

Cheers

If you have a Harrahs total rewards card, go online to their site and book it through them. I just stayed at the Rio for 9 days for $360. Flamingo and Ballys would be slightly cheaper. Pm me if you need more info.

Personally I will never understand paying more to stay at the nicer hotels. How often are you in your room anyway?

Well he specifically asked about Aria, Bellagio, Cosmo and Vdara, none of which are Harrahs. And personally, I will never understand why people judge others for wanting to stay at a nicer hotel.

And to the OP, compare the rates you'd get directly to the rates you'd get from any travel sites and there's your answer. And yes, you can get poker rates at Aria and Bellagio and they may or may not be better than the rates you'd find elsewhere.

Going in the summer should help. I've had the best luck with nonMGM properties by getting a players card and using it with reservations or signing up for the email list, which might work for MGM properties. Also try Smartlasvegas.com. Bidding on priceline is tough because you have to factor in the resort fee.

Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Yeah I want to stay in a nice hotel because well... I'm a tourist and I want to enjoy a full Vegas experience... Also, I do not feel like walking the strip or taking a cab to get to a poker room.

However, wow, those Rio prices are dirt cheap!!

Ok so I'm going to check out the hotels directly and compare with travel sites, as well as look into the players cards.

Thanks again

So no walking and no cab. Guess you'll be renting a car. Players cards aren't going to do anything for you unless you are playing in the pit. You use them in the poker rooms to earn a hourly $ amount towards food & massages.

lol renting a car definitely involves lots of walking. I think he's staying in the casino with the best poker room and not leaving

Yeah staying at the Aria probably, which I heard was also within walking distance to Bellagio / MGM.

Maybe I'll take a cab a few times to go to Venetian also.

I'll definitly get the player cards for food etc (if I understand correctly). I guess they use them to calculate ther poker hotel room rates at the end of a stay as well.

Man I'm pumped.

You can also walk to the Venetian. It is at most a 30 minute walk from Aria. The exercise will be good for you

Do the following. Walk to Bellagio sit and play poker, then walk over to Caesars sit and play poker, then walk to Mirage sit and play poker, then cross the street to Venetian sit and play poker.
