Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc

MGM Players, we would like to announce that we have a brand new room promotion here at MGM Grand. We have special room rates for the months of July, August and September and some weekday rates go as low as $35 a night plus resort fee and taxes. If you would like to inquire further, please give our office coordinator Dale a call at 1-877-757-0007 and he can look up dates and prices for you.
---------------------------------------------

FYI for those needing decent rates and poker.

depends on what club you go to. some are more strict than others.

sandals and jean shorts will not be acceptable anywhere. jeans, dress shoes, polo shirt will be enough to get you in pretty much anywhere.

I guess Terminal 3 is now open in Vegas or has been for a while. Westjet flights out of Canada started flying into and departing out of there today. Anyone seen it inside?

Jean shorts really shouldn't be allowed anywhere in public.

Anyone know the best place to get tires? Discount Tire? Cheap is good. I barely even drive.

I got a flat on I-15 today. A trooper called it in and some guy came and put on my donut ~15 mins later. It was free. I tried to tip him $20 and he said he couldn't accept it. Do most cities have things like that? I was surprised.

I've never gotten a flat. Am I a woman for not changing it myself?

Discount Tire & Brakes has been fine for me here in LA. And yes, other cities have that kind of freeway service and it can be free. They're around to get obstructions cleared quickly. Change a tire, gallon of gas, tow, etc. And I would never change a tire myself on the side of the freeway.

Where's a decent men's barber on the strip (preferably close to the Mirage?). Somewhere I can get a cut and a shave.

+1

My dad made me change a tire before I was taught to drive. It's stupid simple to do, but there is a trick or two. Trick #1: It is a lot easier learning to change a tire in the cool shade and daylight than having to learn in the poring rain at midnight or at noon on the freeway in Vegas.
