Check out Cosmopolitan. I know MGM has some higher tier rooms that have outdoor patio areas, but that's obviously not mid-strip. I think I remember IP having some rooms with balconies too, but I haven't been there is years and I'm pretty sure it depends on which room you get.

Because the casino has additional costs with credit cards:
a) They have to pay a transaction fee as a percentage of money withdrawn (probably somewhere between 1% and 4%)
b) They have limited ability to force you to "play through" that money (as opposed to online where you can't withdraw until xyz)
c) They have a risk of fraud and chargebacks

I was thinking of last year's WSOP ME entrant who made day 2 only to get 86ed from all CET properties (and disqualified from the ME) for GF-clothes-tossing.

If it's included in the resort fee, I think he would consider it as free.

This. If you're staying somewhere with a resort fee, you've already accepted that as part of the cost of your stay. So in that sense, gym/internet/whatever is free.

Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc
Does anyone have the structure sheet for this summer's Station Casino freeroll? I googled, searched forum, and asked Aliante casino... nothing! It's less than 1 month away I figured something would be floating around by now.

I am headed to Vegas tomorrow, and I have three nights each at the MGM, Venetian and Flamingo. Each property charges a fee to access the Gym/Spa over and above the Resort Fee (* no resort fee @ Flamingo).
The fees are as follows:
MGM - 3 day pass $60
Venetian - 3 day pass $110
Flamingo - 3 day pass $55
Each of these include access to sauna, steam-room, but no massage treatments etc, which are extra. The Venetian also includes access to a full program of exercise classes.
I am currently minded to pay for the MGM and Flamingo, but to give the V gym a miss. I need an hour a day in the gym to to mitigate the damage done to my waistline by eating in Vegas, together with sitting at the poker table for 8+ hrs/day.
Bonus info... I just bought a Nike Fuelband, and it will be interesting to monitor how many Fuel points I earn just walking from parking lots to poker tables, hiking the hotel hallways etc.

Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc
So after ~10 months of flawless internet performance at my current residence I received an email from Cox two days ago informing me that the new modem with DOSCIS 3 technology is available for a one time $40 charge.
Then yesterday is the first day that I have internet problems. Pages were loading very slowly and I couldn't even make a Skype call without cutting out.
Coincidence? I'm skeptical. Anyone else have this happen?

Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc
I have not gotten that email as yet... I love my cox connection now so I hope I do not need to change anytime soon.
you might want to post this question at all city data under the vegas section and see if any of those locals have the similar issue.

Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc
This isnt really a Las Vegas question but Ill give it a try. Ive been here for two weeks and in one week my gf comes here to spend the fourth and last week in LV with me.
After that we have two full weeks with a rented car. Our plan is to go to LA and then fly back to Sweden from San Diego. Everybody tells me though that LA sucks and that two weeks is a lot to spend on that short trip. What do you think we should do or see? Just stay a couple of more days in Vegas? Or are there any fun national parks or other stuff thats worth seeing around here or on the way to Cali or something? Tyvm!
