Do you know of any other delivery grocery stores that I can try?
Ill check into Vdara on monday, where is the nearest real grocery store? Not just Wahlgreens on the strip, I need more stuff I guess. Thanks.

There's a supermarket between arville and Decatur on flamingo across from palms. Closest one to you.

You can try the store that is on the second floor, right above baggage claim. It is along the isle leading to C gate security.

You can get on at Walgreens or CVS, both have stores on the strip.

Re: LVL FAQ, Quick Questions, General Vegas Discussion, Etc
Hi, I have been to vegas twice already and am looking to go
7th July to 14th July.
I've stayed in MGM and Harrahs (won't be staying in either again)
I am probly going to play only 2 tournaments and then the rest will be cash games, mainly PLO.
I know the aria runs PLO off peak season but I'd imagine the Rio will have enough PLO action?
Really liked the Aria and am considering staying there, but if the Rio is where I will mostly be I will save some money and stay in gold coast.

It's a good place to go for food and sustenance last time I checked.

Bank of America hands down. Locations all over the country including Vegas.
|
I keep hearing that they are still pretty scummy though. I know right before and after the crash/bailout they were tacking on a ton of extra little fees here and there. Not sure if they have gotten better since or not.
I guess if I was only going to have a savings account it would be ok.
How is BOA these days overall?

a little clarification will help people answer you...
where do you live now? are you moving to vegas?
passport and SSN are probably enough to open an account. they may want proof of current residence as well.
why do you want a bank located in a casino? are you going to be using this as a personal checking/savings account to pay bills and stuff, or do you just want to access money for gambling?
|
I am currently in MA. Yes I am moving to Vegas to live there for a while.
I will probably have two separate accounts. One for poker BR, the other for life BR.
I guess the bank doesn't need to have a branch in the casino itself per say, just wanted to know if it did for convenience sake.
Do most banks at least have branches on the strip near the casinos, or are most bank branches off strip?
If off strip, how far off strip?
In the case of both Chase Bank, and BOA, when opening a savings account do I need anything more then U.S. Passport + SSN?

Yes, BofA has always been scummy and I doubt they're less scummy now. I ditched them years ago precisely because of the nickel-and-diming. There are plenty of better banks out there, but the big ones are probably much the same.
There are no bank branches in or near the strip casinos. Forget about that. All you'll find are ATMs.
And I know that you know how the google machine works, use that to find bank locations.

Bank of America is awful, please do not open an account with them.
Chase is much better and has ATMs everywhere nationwide. They still aren't great but are the best of the megabanks.
For day to day banking, credit unions are best.

PSA: if you are not going solo, the expedia discounts on package trips can be pretty great. if you book flight and hotel together, the savings are usually way more than just booking a flight and paying the poker rate. only exception is wynncore.

I agree B of A is terrible for many reasons. However, they do have a branch fairly close to Rio (on Spring Mountain) which can be convenient when ye old ATM card is "broken" (ie maxed out).

One great option IMO for banks is Schwab. Great customer service and FREE ATM fees anywhere in the world. They refund the amount at the end of the month so no need to find local branches
