One more thing about the Palms: July 2-10 it will be the home of the Pokerstars WSOP qualifiers. There are about 1,050 so far - Pokerstars have said they expect to qualify 2,000. All of the get the choice between free accommodation at the Palms or $1,000 cash - I recon 70-80% are going to go for the accommodation. So there will be a particular kind of clientele there during that period.

Different airlines have different policies. But if your airline is going to charge you an exorbitant rate to check that additional bag of bling and towels you stole from the room, you can always FedEx it to your house.

again, i don't know how much $800 means to you, but if you can afford it, palms is >>>>>>> gold coast in my opinion.

You can't walk into those places if you're staying at the Gold Coast?

That would make me want to stay at the Gold Coast.

Check out the pinball museum (you can play them too) on Trop about 3 miles east of the Strip.

$200-$300 should be sufficient.

Hey, I really really really want to avoid the drug places in Vegas, what casinos are renowned for selling them so that I can avoid going anywhere near them.
thanks

There's a place called Blondies on the Miracle Mile shops @ Planet Hollywood. It's a sports bar with hot waitresses and seemingly free booze between 4 & 6pm. Don't quote me on this though, I remember reading this on another thread.

I don't know how great these deals are but may save someone a little money if they are planning the trip in the last minute:

Re: General Vegas Discussion/Questions/ETC - Post your quick questions here
My bank said I could use my debit card in a casino as a purchase and they would give me cash for it. Has anyone ever done this and how did it go? I am talking to them about just increasing my ATM limit but from what I can tell I can get more money this way. I may just end up doing the wire though if that isn't too tough.

A lock is going to cause any maids/hotel staff to want to steal even more because they'll know something valuable is in there. Just roll it up in your underwear and throw it at the bottom of your suitcase. Its not like they're going to go looking through your stuff.
