Thanks in advance for any help...
Taxi should exit airport, make a left on Tropicana and a right on Koval. If he gets on a highway he is long hauling you.

When you get in the cab he's gonna ask you if you're on vacation and if its your first time in Vegas, that's to feel you out. Tell him you've been there before. He might also ask you if you wanna get there the quickest way, if you say yes he's taking the tunnel. It might be a little quicker but its gonna be a lot more $$$. You can go on the LV taxi authority website and use their trip calculator (99% sure its somewhere on the page) to actually see the best way to go.

Turning 21 at the beginning of the month and have the full month off uni, looking to spend 7-10 nights. Cheers.
Spend 3-4 nights max. Get in, try to win money, get out while you still have some.

Thanks - I'll keep that in mind when I exit the airport (if the 9 hours time zone difference doesn't blur everything around me...). BTW I'm not in Vegas for vacation but for work (at least a little bit...) and this is not my first time neither So hopefully i'll manage to get some respect from the cab driver...

I stayed at Flamingo over Halloween this year and when I received my confirmation email, it stated that if you take a shuttle from the airport, they will drop you off at Bally's since the entrance off of the strip is closed due to construction at Bill's and are not allowed in the cab/valet area via the rear entrance. I'd spend the few extra bucks and cab it.

With that said, Flamingo does have its own dedicated shuttle that is allowed. I always take it back to the airport. Leaves every half hour or so. $7 + driver tip.

3-4 days is never long enough. Any time in April will be fine. Do you have a hotel in mind? You could use the CET rooms calendar to see when the cheapest stay would be. I'd reccomend PHo or Flamingo to a 21 year old staying a week+. Save some mine and a younger vibe, plus pretty mid-strip. Go whenever is cheapest. Vegas is always on.

Everyone is different but more than 3 or 4 full days in vegas can be a lot. If you are doing more I would def plan on a day excursion away from vegas for a break.

Cheers mate, originally thought Aria then realised on my first trip to Vegas I shouldn't be spending much time in a hotel room. So Planet Hollywood/Bally's for the location and much better prices. Seems like the prices for both in mid-April are deece so will probably head out then staying at whichever is cheapest when I book unless Planet Hollywood>Bally's for a few extra dollars?

It definitely is worth a few extra $ per day. The location is perfect, right across the street from Cosmopolitan, Bellagio, and Aria. Within PH the poker room is great, there are several good casual restaurants including the great Earl of Sandwich, there's a shopping mall attached if you feel like shopping, and there's a Walgreens attached for stocking up on water/snacks. Oh and starting this week, Britney!

the parking situation tilts me so hard at PH... I want to rage so hard that I feel like "tearing off my head and running thru the streets with my balls in a fruit pickers basket!"

but it's a great place to play and hang out.

Speaking of PH parking, what's the best way to get there from I-15? Every time I go there, I think that there's got to be something better than Flamingo (or Tropicana) to Koval to Harmon, right?

not really... not that I have found anyway. you could take harmon from the other direction on the west side(which is how I go home), but it's basically the same thing.

it literally took me 20 minutes to get out of the parking garage onto the access road to Harmon on thursaday... never again, there has to be something better.

If it were me, I would book PHo for a few extra $ every time. It's the only CET property I can stomach. I stayed at PHo form6 days and would do it again. Rooms are just ok, but the location can't be beat and the casino is a lot of fun if you fit in to the younger, party demographic.

Of course if for some reason money was no opissue, I would say choose Aria or Cosmo, but you just need a bed, a shower, and a storage area. You don't need a couch (or a tv for that matter)

it's already a horrific walk just to make it thru the parking structure and mall area... is Paris any better or is it just for ease of ingress and egress?

You self park at Paris. Walk thru small part of casino and out the door. You're right at ph entrance.

It is only a 7 minute walk from Bally's to the Flamingo.

But, if you take a cab I would guess they would drop you at the cab/valet entrance and so the advice about taking Koval (or Audrie) to the side street cab/valet area is correct.

If it were me I would take the shuttle.

Jeez, I take a day off from the forums and there's a goddamn nit explosion.

1. Take a cab, don't take the ****ing shuttle

2. If self-parking is such a nightmare, here's the secret: V-A-L-E-T

Happy New Year everyone!

*** the valet... that is my personal motto.

You could walk the cab line at the airport to see if anyone else is going to the Flamingo and interested in splitting the fare.

What's the best time of the year to grind 2/5-5/5 in Vegas?

I always thought it was during the WSOP, but after reading a few threads about games during that time, this may not be the case.
