Re: General Vegas Discussion/Questions/ETC - Post your quick questions here

Looking to go to a Cirque show Tuesday or Wednesday. Few questions:

- Best Cirque show?

- What's the best place to get discount Cirque tickets?

- Had a dinner/all you can drink wine package offer for Love, not a huge
Beatles fan but do they do that with all the Cirque shows?

-Can you drink inside at the show? If I wanted to bring in a drink or do they serve drinks at shows?

-If they don't serve how safe would it be to bring in a flask?

thanks

I checked on the TV and it says $0.00, so I guess it's OK.

Thanks for your help.

Supposedly Blondies sports bar in the Miracle Mile in PH has good wings. Never been there myself.

- My wife is a bit of a Cirque aficianado and she felt that Mystere was the best of the Vegas Cirque shows, while Zumanity was the worst.

- You might try http://www.broadwaybox.com/lasvegas/

- I know they serve alcohol at the Cirque shows, but have never tried to smuggle in my own. My wife's not a big drinker, so the subject has never come up.

An old college friend used to remind me that your flask can go anywhere. I take that literally.

It's not like they're going to search your pockets when you get to the show.

This, with Ka in close second place.
Zumantity was disappointing both as Cirque and as sexy.
Mystere is classic Cirque.
Ka is an amazing production.
O was over-rated imo, but not bad.
Didn't see any of the music-themed ones, as the dance numbers don't do a lot for me.

You can get Cirque tickets at half-price ticket outlets *sometimes*, but they don't get them every day (and only sell them on the day of the show). You can sometimes get them discounted on the Cirque website too.

Re: General Vegas Discussion/Questions/ETC - Post your quick questions here

I'm arriving late on September 17th, likely close to 12:00am-1:00am (Technically the 18th) This also happens to fall on the $$$$ weekend, we've booked MGM from Sept 18-21 (checkout on 22nd) Queen Bungalow Suite

MGM Grand website says check-in is...3pm? We plan on killing time, drinking, etc until check-in. What is the earliest we can check in? I'm sure that 3pm line can be ignored. I stayed at TI last November and think we checked in 2 hours before the advertised time on the website. Just curious how MGM Grand works.

With most places you may be able to get a room around noon. If you however have any specific requests for a room (handicap, two beds, certain floor, etc) this will make it more difficult to get an early check-in.

Correct. Might be 9am, might be 3pm, or anytime in between. YMMV.

Re: General Vegas Discussion/Questions/ETC - Post your quick questions here

Has anyone else had issues with Caesar's room comps? Ever since my first visit to Vegas, I've always booked through the total rewards site and always been able to get comped rooms for my entire stay (at the lower-end properties ie. Flamingo, Harrahs, Ballys, Rio etc.) - We're heading out in September for our honeymoon and I checked last week, had free rooms at the usual properties but did not book. I checked today and I can't even get comped rooms at IP. Did they change something with the site or the comps? Anyone else experiencing something similar? Wasn't really planning on paying for a room (certainly not at a Caesar's property at least)...

^Having the same issue^

Was going to go in October and had my choice of dates/hotels when I checked last week. Now I'm going to be stuck at IP or Rio unless I wait til November. I guess you have to book asap or they fill up fast. If I'm getting these offers with my small play they must just hand them out like porn cards on the strip.

Are you looking at the calendar that shows all hotel rates/comps up to 2 months? I do see some openings everywhere on the 5th-12th, Rio only 26-29th, but nothing besides that.

Sooo whats Vegas like in November guys?
