Not really the money thats the issue, just the 'what the hell' at receiving a bill I thought I already paid

Also the bill is out dated, it was due a few days before it arrived at my house here in Australia.

I was insured for the trip so I'll contact my insurer and hopefully its not an issue (only thing that worries me is the time passed and if theres some time limit on lodging a claim since the insurance expires)

If they dont help me I'll call the hospital and get some clarification but if I've gotta pay I've gotta pay, def wont try and take them on or anything
There are ways an American entity can collect on a debt owed by a foreign national in another country.

Hey now, be fair. They speak English. Just not in a manner that is easily understood.

Alas, "most any" doesn't mean "all". There are a few that don't let the bar have a blender (or more likely, just won't let the bartender use it when making poker room beverages). So if you order a julius you may just get a strawberry mix stirred together with ice cubes. Not the same thing.

I remember Bellagio's strawberry julius being pretty good. How is it compared to other locations like Aria's?

I vaguely recall the one ordered in Mirage having lots of ice. But that was a while ago.

I remember strawberry Julius at Caesars was excellent and served in a real glass,
but at the V it was only very good but served in plastic. We need a rate the Julius thread.

Canonical Las Vegas nonalcoholic drink menu:

My faves are ones with nutritional value (you can't order food at tables) or at least ones that will keep up your blood sugar.

Dispenser-pistol sodas: Coke/Diet Coke/Sprite or Pepsi/Diet Pepsi/Sierra Mist, club soda, tonic, ginger ale.

Tip: To me, club soda with a dash of Coke tastes better than Diet Coke.

Coffee/iced coffee*/decaf

Sparkling water (availability varies): Pellegrino, Perrier

Juices: Tomato, orange, cranberry, pineapple (apple or grape usually not available); Virgin Bloody Mary (depending on the casino you'll either get Mr. T spicy-tomato mix or real Bloody Mary ingredients, e.g. worcestershire sauce and a celery stalk); virgin Tequila Sunrise (OJ & grenadine)

Iced tea; hot tea* (black only)

Hot cocoa*†

Near beer (O'Doul's)

Virgin Pina Colada†, virgin strawberry Daquiri†

*Made by cocktail server, tip her well
†Normally served with whipped cream

Café Mocha is the nuts

I tried ordering O'Douls once in Bellagio when I wanted to have a beer but not drink, but they didn't have it

Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but worth mentioning - Mandalay is now listed on the Bravo app, just added it to my favorites.

Not sure if there is a thread similar to my question...

I havent taken a girl to Vegas with me in a while but I would like suggestions as what to do over a weekend i.e. nice bar with a view, nice lounge, etc.

Planning on seeing Absinthe and obviously Bellagio fountains but that's it.

Mix Lounge at Mandalay Bay looks like it has a killer view, Chandelier Bar or Vesper(more scenery at Chandelier, imo) at Cosmo, or Hyde during early evenings on the patio along with the Petrossian and the Baccarat bar(all at Bellagio) seem like good spots for low-key drinking.

Gf and I visiting from Canada soon. Her first time (21). My first time not to play poker. Staying at Mirage. Is Premium Outlets - North worth taking a cab to or should we just stick to Strip shopping (Fashion Show, Forum, Miracle Mile, etc)?

Depends on what your goals are. If you just want to window shop fancier stores or buy more high-end type of stuff, places like Miracle Mile, Shops at the Venetian, Forum shops, etc. will work fine. Fashion Show is basically just a regular mall.

IF you are looking for a more "regular" type of shopping, The Premium Outlets (North and South) have more regular/non high-end types of stores and yes you can get stuff cheaper there. The North Premium Outlets (outdoor mall) is always hella crowded on weekends though and I would expect it to be exponentially worse crowds-wise during the holiday shopping season.

You could also go down to the South Premium Outlets which are on Las Vegas Blvd. a few miles south of Mandalay Bay. You can bus down there which would be much cheaper than a cab round-trip. They are indoors and have many of the same types of stores the North Premium Outlets have. The Nike outlet store at the South location is confirmed awesome fyi. Also south, about a mile up (closer to Mandalay Bay) from the South Premium Outlets is Town Square. Town Square is a more high-end, specialty outdoor mall with bars and restaurants. Locals are the only ones who typically hang here so you avoid the massive tourist crowds.

one other thing...just a reminder, before heading out to the Premium outlets at least, you may want to go to each property's websites to see the store roster listing to make sure there is something there you are interested in.

Nice bar with a view:

Mandarin Bar @ Mandarin Oriental
Mix @ Mandalay Bay
Foundation Room @ Mandalay Bay
Eiffel Tower Restaurant @ Paris

Nice bar without a view:

Chandelier Bar @ Cosmo
Parasol Up/Down @ Wynn
the one by the pool at Encore

Don't really know much from lounges, but since I've met you and know you're a mellow dude I have to think the quieter ones are what you'd want. Gold Lounge @ Aria comes to mind.
