I'm sure it's been asked, but does anyone have any info on renting a car for WSOP time period? Do you have to be 25 or w/e? Thanks.

you can rent at most places 21 and up but youll pay an extra fee if youre under 25.. usually around 20-25 a day. Theyll try to push fake insurance on you but dont take it imo.
Ill be the hertz shill and post this for like the fourth time....

If youre under 25, hertz has a promotion to waive the $25 a day fee there.

https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/speci...TabLink=tlink1

also when you click on the link to reserve where it says "Discount/CDP/Club Code:" enter 706900 20% off... the code is for "travel partners", which is some random travel website so if they ask you where you got your cdp code just say you found it on the interwebs on some travel site and it automatically filled it in for you (but they almost never ask).

If you book the cheapest kind of car, youre likely to get a free upgrade during the summer (which is slow). Ive never heard of someone trying the $20 trick, but i wouldnt be surprised if it works.

maybe he just got a douche muffin helping him at checkin... but they called the manager over and everything and nothing could be done.
When I stayed at Harrah's last month for 5 nights, they wanted to put $500 on my CC for incidentals, I said that's not going to happen, so they said that's ok, you don't need one for it.

Re: General Vegas Discussion/Questions/ETC - Post your quick questions here

Any recommendations for good value hotels on the strip around the middle of June? What kind of prices should I expect and any recommendations for sites to make online bookings?

Cheers

Are there likely to be good week long hotel deals after the series ends?

Say July 11 onwards?

There's no way you're stopping at 25 casinos in one day. These casinos are HUGE and they're a lot further apart than it seems. The strip is just long and skinny, so it's not super hard to get your bearings - you can see most of the big casinos whenever you're outside on the strip thanks to how big they are.

For someone who is going to be there for 10 days on their first trip out, I'd just plan on doing 2-3 casinos each day as you'll have plenty of time in between poker sessions to sight-see. You won't be playing poker 16 hours a day for 10 days. Take a few hours each day and visit a new casino or two. After a few days you'll have a better sense of if you want to spend more time playing poker or more time sight-seeing (or clubbing or shows or whatever).

I'd def suggest getting a few shows in, particularly Cirque du Soleil.

Disagree... this would be relatively easy. You could start in the morning and be finished by the afternon if you were just going in getting your chip and leaving.

Deals definitely won't be related to the fact that WSOP has ended if there are any imo. WSOP is obviously big for poker rooms and stuff but they hold so many mega conventions out there that are bigger in size and stuff.

Cheers.

Given a choice which would you go for? All are twin rooms or suite staying from Monday to Sunday.

Paris $850
Luxor 650
MGM Grand 850
Treasure Island 650
Mirage 900
Planet Hollywood 1050
Rio - 600-800
Vdara - 1000
NYNY - 650
ph towers - 850
Palms - 850
Signature - 850
Cosmopolitan - 1200

A bit vague and lot there I know! First time going though so havent got a clue. Any would do as we are going for drinking and gambling location is pretty important and obv dont want it to be a dive.

General indication of which to avoid would also be good!

Per person, per room or total whole stay?

TI 650 + 20 trick to (at least) a panorama room on a high floor seems like best value to me
