i guess we mostly just wanna get drunk and have a good laugh. anybody know a good bar or something for three guys in their early 20s to have a beer or ten and just have a good time?

what about food options. were not looking to spend a bazillion dollars, no fancy sea-food and stuff, just a good steak or so. btw, does the riviera still have the $1 menu in case we need a quick bite in between?

any other ideas?
check the after midnight food thread, a lot of those places are a very good value for food all day.

What limits are you gonna be playing? It's true what they say that most of the weekend 200NL plays like 25NL online.

if you're rolled enough, i'd say play the $2/$5 games they'll probably still be softer than your regular games.

otherwise, just bring like a grand and you'll have plenty.

How many standard 100BB buy ins for 2/5 do you normally bring for a long weekend in Vegas?

well, if you're not planning on doing anything besides poker i'd say like 5 or 6, if you're just coming to play for awhile ever day i'd say like 4 or 5, but again it all depends on your skill level, the game etc. so those numbers vary. that's what i would bring for me though.

and another couple thousand to lose in the pit.

I was playing at ceasars palace and the venetian in june and had a lot of fun and there was a lot of stuff going on. I'd like to know what time of the year they(cp and venetian) are deadest and what the action is like during that time.

What are the best Cirque de soleil shows? Other shows in Vegas? I've been twice before, but only for poker this time I'm taking a girl. Any advice/ recommendations. And no the fact that I'm taking a girl is not a thinly veiled brag, I actually date pretty regularly.

Unless you're fairly lucky, I would bring at least 10 buyins, preferably 15.

I'm planning on going to Vegas around the 2nd week of December with 2 other people, I've never been before so I was wondering where is the best place to find a package deal on the hotel/airfare and if there are discounts for having 3 people or anything like that? Thanks.

If you plan to gamble any significant amount, do not book a package deal from one of the travel sites. Casinos will not comp a room booked through anyone except them directly.

How much would we have to gamble/what stakes for there to be a comp?

It depends greatly on the hotel and game you play, i.e. slots, BJ, etc. There are many many websites on the subject that can tell you everything you need to know. A simple google search should do the trick.

Yup, weekend before last. I probably played between 6 and 8 hours total. Didn't cash in 1 single chip, because I lost every one I bought. Biggest hand I had was 2 pair(beaten), no pocket aces, KK once(cracked), and the biggest hand I had in the MTT (AQ) ran into AK.

Ouch.

Do you play online regularly, i.e. ~30k+ hands a month? What game/stakes?
