If you have a pulse and are willing to gamble for a few hours a day, you are likely to get 'free rooms' Sun-Thur as long as you pay the resort fee. Make you feel special for paying $30 a night.

seems like a bad idea to lie to an immigration officer.

I've never been asked my occupation when crossing into other countries unless I marked it as a business trip. Is this something that US Customs asks of tourists?

Depends on how long you intend to stay.

If they ask and you answer "professional gambler", they will ask you to provide them with proof of your financial ability to sustain your stay.

Occupation has been a required field on pretty much every entry form I've ever filled out for every country I've ever been to. Not many immigration officers have asked about it tho.

Taxi, Uber, or Lyft if you aren't a high roller who gets a comped limo.

Or a rental car if you are renting a car.

I strongly advise against walking.

There was free WiFi in the WSOP rooms when I was there.

Question for folks in town for the series or otherwise: How much are you guys paying for car rentals out of the McCarran Rental Center these days? I'm having trouble finding anything for less than $27/day $187/week all in, my dates are flexible. Prefer not to go through the hassle of picking up/dropping offsite so wouldn't be interested in other rental locations unless they are way cheaper

I have paid more, so that seems like a good deal.

That's a good rate for a non micro car.

And if you are <150 lbs and don't mind a micro car, that's reasonable.

any suggestions or a good low stakes (less than $200) tournament for this upcoming weekend (7/13-7/17)? preferably with 100+ entrants.

Seems like Aria and Venetian have their summer series' going and the cheapest events are 400-500. Normally, Aria would be my go-to for a $125 or $240 tournament.

Does Caesar's still get a pretty good turnout for their daily tournaments? I haven't played their in a few years.

Its not like the old room; 20 minute levels and fast structure all for the price of $150 during the series. After the series I believe the price goes down but at least to me the price is too much for a structure such as this ; more like a $80 buy in and then one can push/fold as appropriate.

I'm fine with the structure, more concerned with the turnout. Going with 4 other buddies, we want a tournament we can all play that won't go all night, and preferably won't have 2-3 of us at the same starting table and also preferably have a decent amount up top if one of us binks.

also, can't believe I did a "Their/There" typo.

At this moment they have 53 in their 1:00 pm tourney. They also have 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM tourneys. i believe the 1 PM is the biggest.

Quick question I didnt want to make a new thread for. I have a comped room offer and just booked a trip to Vegas over Thanksgiving and the following weekend at Planet Hollywood. My mother is coming along this time as she hasnt been to Vegas in years and I'd like to get her her own room. I know that when booking rooms online, TR doesnt allow you to double book any room over the same time period. Has anyone ever had any luck getting a +1 room comped at CET properties? I'm 32 years old and not really wanting to stay in the same room as my mother in Vegas, but also dont want to pay $1,000 just for another room when mine is already free.

I'm also considering using the $20 trick, not to get a room upgrade, but to see if they would possibly give me a second room, haha.

I also wonder if when I get to Vegas, I literally walked into any other CET property and tried to book a room, if they would know I already had a room booked at PH, or allow me to get a comped room.

no, they aren't going to comp it. if yours are already free, you must be at least diamond, yes? so they will at least give you the discounted/no resort fee rate.

I'm actually a high Platinum :-\ Thanksgiving Day and that weekend is a slow time in Vegas which is why I'm guessing I got the weekend comps at PH. Of course still almost $200 with resort fees.

Back in March I had comped rooms at Bally's, got a second room for my son. They gave me a discounted rate is all. Did not get the resort fee removed, I had to pay the fee also at my level of play (mostly poker).
