I would like to plan another trash clean up at Charlie Frias park on Tropicana. We will meet on Monday the 30th at 5pm and just fill up a few trash bags for an hr.
I also want to schedule a meet up to feed the homeless on Monday the 6th at 5pm in front of the Cromwell.

Right on, thanks for your interest! I'll keep updating all the details here.

From my point of view I prefer to help people who want to help themselves. Like maybe I would buy some care packages/food/other perks and distribute to those that want to help clean up an area or otherwise contribute to their own/community well being.
Just a thought.
On another note I ofter get disgusted at how filthy people are and how little they regard environment, just stuff like throwing out their trash in parking lots puts me on tilt. Recently I decided rather than get mad that others arent living up to my expectation that I would do something positive when I saw their crap. So when I see trash in the park or a parking lot I just pick it up and put in can.
Maybe it wont help and people will still be disgusting BUT MAYBE someone else will see me and do the same thing OR perhaps if less trash is on ground then some of the offenders will be less likely to do it themselves(broken window theory) AND worse case that trash is no longer there vs me being pissed off while walking past it and thinking how sorry people are.
I can see where you are coming from. I see a lot of the same faces and it seems a lot of them have given up and are mentally checked out. I would like to do what I can to spark a desire for them to get more out of life. Ultimately everyone has to decide for themselves if they want to change.
I like the ideal. I do think it is a better principle to have people learn to be productive and learn skills that could help them earn a living. I guess I am still trying to come up with the best method to demonstrate this besides communicating with them.
I like that you are taking some action to clean up and setting a good example.
