Hey guys, I'm heading out to Vegas tomorrow. Its been a few years so i'm looking for info on the best low stakes rooms. Plan to play 1/2 nl and tourneys $50 and under. Any good promos going ? Low tourney Rakes? Soft games?
Also hoping to catch a little rail time at the WSOP final table.

Two suggestions, for fun inexpensive tourneys, binions and planet Hollywood.

THIS.

And I had so much fun playing there..mostly 50 and 60 year old tourists, lots of light-hearted playful table talk, every hand usually 5 or more players see a flop..

both daily tournaments at binions are 100+25

MGM Grand or Golden Nugget $70 tournament is probably best you will find with a decent structure. Both have decent 1/2 games as well.

Trying to stick to strip or maybe Rio. I printed a daily tourney sheet for 2017 but don't know how accurate it is.

Wow is there a lot of terrible tournament advice in this thread.

For OP - you cannot find a good structure AND low rake at your price point. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find either. South Point ($60) will be your lowest rake. TI dailies ($77) will have the best structure. Anything else is going to be clownish. And yes, that includes whatever bull**** other people suggested here (Binions, Golden Nugget, MGM oh my god are you kidding me, Planet Hollywood). I mean, they're all bad, but MGM? Are you trying to make OP shoot himself? Their cheap ones ($60) have 10 minute levels with a nearly 32% rake!!! On what planet is that considered "good"???

Honestly, if you're only willing to spend that little on a tournament, I'd suggest you stick with cash games.

Ok. Thank you . What price level for tourneys would you say start to be reasonable levels and takes?
And what Cash games 1/2 would you recommend. I think I play a somewhat solid game for a rec player.

I think the softest games are where the tourists are like Planet Hollywood, MGM, Golden Palace, but as long as you can table select you should be good. I assume the rooms that are known for poker like BAW tend to attract more grinders and serious players.

Bally's 1/2 is very soft in my experience.

I actually enjoy Aria 1/3 despite the sarcastic replies in this thread.

I'd say minimum for a good, worthwhile, decent structure/rake tournament, you'll have to be at $125 at least.

Aria - $125 1pm (Mon-Thurs); 7pm (daily). 10k starting, 25-50 opening blinds, 30 minute levels, 20% rake.

Orleans - $130 7pm (Friday night). 15k starting, 50-100 opening blinds, 30 minute levels, 25% rake, mostly local punters who basically play face-up and straight forward.

Wynn - $140 noon (Mon-Thurs); 10k starting, 50-100 opening blinds, 30 minute levels, 10.7% rake, easily the nicest room in town.

no daily tournaments have a good structure

the mgm $70 with 15 min levels and 15k and golden nugget 20 min levels 10k aren't that bad compared to other daily tournaments

For best blind levels, why not do your own cash game tournament instead? Start at 1-2, build up a stack, take it to 2-5, build up a stack, cash out.

No, it's called being a schmuck, especially when you're the third putz in a row in the thread with the same idiotic "level."
