Anyone been here? Viable valentine's day spot? (Yes, Brazilian steakhouse will go over well with the girl... she's a winner).

I've heard good things, never been.

Why not take her to Hugo's Cellar get a room downtown, drink at Griffin or Downtown Bar and bang bang bang.

Re: The locals thread

Sammy's LA Pastrami kicks ass imo, for the pastrami lovers.

Odd question- anyone know of any gas station chains that have mediocre+ coffee but also have milk available for their coffee? Everywhere seems to have that powdered creamer crap or little flavored things.

I don't live in LV but spend about 1-2 weeks a month there at the office and have to be in at 6am, coffee is a necessity obv.

I play in a stud8 game that is mostly retirees and they always rave about Hugo's Cellar. It seems very old school and the service is deliberately slow so be prepared. IIRC they give all the ladies a single rose on the way in. I've never been but the people in that game suggest it over and over.

I read all these posts and I miss LV...11 days, yay!!!! I wanna get back to city I love...I never wanna leave again!!! The desert sucks...

On a more important note, what's the best sub shop in LV near the Strip, opinions? I never eat deli shop stuff when I am in poker games down there...

Heard on the 5 hundy by midnight podcast that Silkroad is closing March 8th and being replaced with an up market convenience-market- store. Also that the IP is expanding.

Yes, it is, according to the staff. And the poker room will be moving toward the back so they can do the construction work up front. Nobody seems to know exactly when it's moving.

Re: The locals thread

Can anyone recommend a mechanic? Closer to Trop/Strip the better.

I see Carls Cool Cars from like 2 years ago.......anything else though?

I need to take my 02 Subaru WRX in.....may just be a simple belt but need to make sure and I don't have any tools and don't care to mess around with it.

Exclusive Customs on Hacienda/Decatur. The owner is a friend of mine, but I let them work on my Camaro which says a lot. They're also very reasonable.
