Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

I am in vegas from the 8th- ME

Just spent the last hr looking at hotels... Gold Coast is right across the street and 1250 per 2 weeks... Which is pretty high... Looking to split a hotel room with someone.. Most preferable @ the palms but gold coast is fine..

This accomplishes: Lower Cost due to No need for rental car and shared cost... Right across the street from Rio.

I estimate that a nice Room for this time frame will be around $1500.. But don't have exact #'s yet..

PM if you are interested...

Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

Hey,

I am a 24yo MSNL 6max grinder from the UK planning on playing all of the WSOP NL events upto $2500 this year.

Looking for potential housing for the whole of june; first event I plan on playing is the 4th.

As I will be travelling alone I would also be interested to hear from any others in my situation who would like to go out, meals etc. I have a really active social life back home so would miss the opportunity to party in vegas :-)

Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

Looking for a room(with some sort of accessibility to Strip/Rio hopefully) for May 20th to June 5th....Will pay cash on arrival.

Ideally this would be a poker house that has just a opening early for the WSOP and wants some rent.

Have references, have lived in poker houses at WSOP time before with no issues.

Looking to move to Vegas and get a 1BR near the strip. Not looking for anything super plush, but also dont want to live in the bad areas. Are the apartment communities around UNLV cool areas for a 24 year old? Thanks

the UNLV area varies from slightly bad to very bad... If you have a carthere is no reason to live there in this market as opposed to henderson/summerlin/the SW.

I definitely would not reccoment getting a place in that area without the opportunity to come chack it out first.

the dorms are on campus. off campus are low rent apartments and houses occupied by casino workers

theyre pretty crappy, and almost no one lives there... UNLV is much more of a commuter campus than most schools of a comparable size.

Located at 6555 Boulder Highway, just a few short minutes from the Las Vegas "Strip"
this doesnt seem like it would be a few short minutes away from the strip.

Its not a horrible location or anything... but its not near the strip by any stretch of the imagination.

edit: meh its not quite as far as i thought.. i was thinking it was down closer to lake mead pkwy... checked google maps and it says 22 mintues... 30 is probably closer to right though during most times of day

Also if youre going there any even moderately busy time of day, the route google suggests (boulder hwy up to flamingo and flamingo over and accross the strip) is going to have pretty wild variance on your travel time.
