Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

Hey guys...I stayed at Desert Tides last year with a bunch of guys that could vouch for it - Bparis, JDPC27, Boston3party...as well as a few friends that would stop by for grind sessions, home games, etc.

I realize there's a bunch of bad reviews on the place, but think about the typical vacationer that comes to vegas looking to stay in a nice resort. These are basic ass condos (with kitchen, laundry, TV, internet)...but nothing crazy. I don't think there's room service, maid service, anything like that. Close enough to rio to cruise back for a smoke/food during tourney breaks.

Anyways, me (Bryan) and 9figures (Dave) are looking to get a 3 bedroom there with 3 people, as he said before. If you don't feel the need to be dropping $1k+/mo on rent during the series, feel free to contact one of us as we have one room open. We'll just get a 2 bedroom if not, but I think 3 is a good roommate situation. We both wanna drink and party a decent amount, but gonna be on the griiiind during the day as well. Hit one of us up for more info!!

Meridian for sure looks like a nice place, but starts around $1800 for a furnished 2 bedroom I believe. 1.5 miles from Rio.

Laguna Palms I BELIEVE is fairly deep, as its past the university. 3.5 Miles from Rio, and starts around $1600 for a nice looking 2 bedroom.

Other places to check across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel may be holiday royale. They have studios for like $700, and 1 bedrooms and 1 bedroom townhomes as well for like $8-900 I believe. 2 miles from Rio.

Extended Stay America is right next to desert tides, and I believe it's like $50/night or so.

I made a spreadsheet when I was researching spots, but I'm on a different computer right now, so that's all I really remember, feel free to PM me if you'd like me to send it your way.

There's also some posts on craigslist from locals looking to rent out a room, alot of them play poker as well, but the houses are farther from the strip.

Hope that helps some of you!!!
Peace

My last plans fell through so I'm still looking. Someone organize a house and I'm in.

Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

bleh everyone looking for a room but no one seems to have available rooms- if someone who knows vegas could try and organise something I`d probably be down for that. I`d do it myself if I actually knew vegas.

Also if anyone is planning to go to vegas bout the 5 to 12th of june we cud share a hotel room and look for a place to stay rather than trying to commit to anything beforehand.

Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

Boliver, you're talking crazy about Laguna Palms. I used to live there. In fact, I just moved. They're doing major construction in the neighborhood, so the units aren't exactly in the best show condition or move in ready, but I believe all of them will be at the end of May. The address is 3145 E Flamingo Rd. It's several miles east of the Rio, but it's a straight shot down Flamingo. Two bedrooms rent for about $750/mo. The most I would pay even if I was paying a premium for a short term lease would be $800/mo.

Also trying to figure out what to do about a car but may just rent car for week to week basis.

27 year old male that grinds online MTSNG's, live 2/5 NL, 8/16-15/30 FL, but will be mostly playing the tourneys at venetian. Will be in town the whole month of June and maybe part of July. Mostly going to be there to grind, but always up for going out to dinner, and up for going out for drinks once or twice per week. Thanks

Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

looking for a place for myself and maybe a few others for all of june/july. I'm 23, from Atlanta and play 2/4 - 5/10 on stars and will be playing a bunch of wsop events. Other guys are mostly Euros who want to come for different periods of time ranging from whole summer to just the ME.

Let me know if you have a big house and need to fill a couple of spots. Price isn't really a concern.

Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

I am also looking for a place to stay this summer, from June 1st- WSOP ME. I will be playing WSOP or Venetian events almost every single day (1 Ks - $2500s + ME), so I won't have a ton of party nights. I am 25, drink but don't smoke, easy to get along with, love sports, etc.

Re: Las Vegas Summer Housing Megathread

Im skipping vegas this wsop.

but, if i were you guys, i would start organizing among myselves and get together on a place. IMO, start getting a FB/AIM/Email list together. I do not think you are going to find a place ready-to-go already rented with rooms available if you havent up to this point.

feel free to PM me or post in LVL if youre looking for info on a specific place, i got a WSOP place for 4 of the past 5 wsops (i lived there already for the fifth).

right now, youre at a point where youre late but not really late if youre looking for a house. Wait another week or two and youll start seeing a serious decline in availability
