Alright,

Coming from Scotland for 4 nights at the start of January for a stag (bachelor party) there will be 6 of us in total. Anyone recommend anywhere to book hotels through? Notice someone mentioned smarter Vegas. Also anywhere to get comps etc, probably be playing quite a bit in the pit, $50-$100 blackjack etc

I would stay at Cosmo. You can book directly thru their site. They will give you guys the best comps.

If you're trying to get comps, DO NOT book through any third-party site like smartervegas. Book through the hotels directly. You really should just do that anyway.

I agree with all of the above. Also, $50-100 is unlikely to get you any baller comps on the strip. A free buffet and some line passes? Maybe. But don't expect much beyond that.

Cool cheers. What about sports bars, coming in for Divisional playoff weekend, wheres good to watch? Should we be looking to book table before hand?

I disagree. Depending on the property, that range will get you more than a buffet. PH, Paris, other mid tier places will give a room if they are "playing quite a bit". Aria, Cosmo, Palazzo will probably require a higher bet.

As others have said, book directly with the hotel if you are hoping to get comped. Just book the room as normal and on your way out, inquire if your play was enough to warrant any comps on the room.

Get a casino host. They will hook you up with a ton of comps. Steve Cyr is a casino host that was on the twoplustwo pokercast a couple of times, seems like a cool guy. I'd try to get in touch with him. If you wire a couple thousand to play with and play 100/hand, you should be able to get at least rooms comped if not more.

Wiring a couple thousand will not get the attention of Steve Cyr.

Just sign up for a players card and play how you normally would. If they don't start rating you relatively soon after you play, make sure to remind the dealer. Often times in the pit, the cards just sit there for a while until the pit bosses get around to entering it in. Sometimes it's because they're busy, or perhaps they want to make sure you're staying for a while.

Regarding hosts, particularly at the center strip properties, they will find you if you play at a high enough rate.

He specifically said on the pokercast that he likes the guys who wire a couple thousand to play $100/hand.

One of my buddies used a host for a bachelor party in Vegas and it was definitely worth it. Guy helped out a lot in organizing activities and getting hooked up for VIP and stuff in clubs. I would not recommend just waiting for a host in the pit, actively look for one.

3 or 4 of party never been to Vegas before and plan is to find a boozer to watch the NFL on Saturday and Sunday all day for the division games. On the Friday, going to organise a pub crawl so that the lads get to see different hotels/pubs during the day. Was thinking of 8 pubs for a drink/their signature drink starting in MargaritaVille...

Anyone got any pubs they would recommend that would be decent during the day? Whats people favourite on strip pubs?
