WSOP player of the year is only relevant to about ~100 people in the world. Whatever arbitrary formula they use to determine it is pretty much a meaningless pissing contest to everyone else.

This is the million dollar question. I actually have no idea how long this will last but I'm sure if he doesn't see an immediate change in the comments and a spike in his subs, he'll go back to his old ways pretty quickly blaming us for giving him a stupid idea of acting more positively.

The funny thing is that I'm sure that he is boiling up inside and in between takes he's cursing and yelling at whatever he can find. While this may sound like a joke, I actually believe he is doing this all night long throughout that vlog.

Also, it's hilarious how he is scheduling the shirt drop offs at 6am. This shirt shop is going to totally mess him up...more so than he is already.

I think I have to clarify something!
The so called "friendship" that you all talking about, is only one sided!
Everything came from my side.
I called/text him and ask if he wants to meet for coffee.
I invited him and Molly to our girls birthday party! For BBQ at my house!
Didn't happen.
I tried to be nice. I tried to get him out of his 24/7 rotation.
I have a lot of friends.
And I'm not bagging someone who wants to do his own thing!Alone!
I'm fine with that.
But don't tell me I have to be on his ass to invite him for anything! He is not better then anyone else!
I wrote him a text and he know we were planning the Vlogger game.
If he would have been interested he would have text/call me or any other of the Vloggers.
Now you are blaming me that I didn't call him 100 times for coming????
Don't you get it? HE DONT WANT TO!
Please Ask yourself: Who is making the drama?
Wearing a shirt????
I did wayyyy worth pranks to my friends and wife! And they laugh about it !
Again: some people have to chill out
Yeah kinda disappointed in how the Troop treated Pokerkraut.

Deleted my Patreon pledge.

I was lucky enough to win a free roll online and got a 12,500 WSOP package.

Unfortunately that was the last year of only 10k chips. The next year it went 20k and then 30k ever
since.

That was the biggest prize pool tourney every still to this date. So I can always at least claim that. lol
8800 entrants.
That year was my first trip, and the only time I've played the m/e. I managed to luckbox a cash, too.

Sure managed to get out of Vegas with a lot left

Trooper latest Vlog:

Trooper finds the "courage" or "brains" to break away from his nasty Bally's, Golden Nugget rut and wins ~$200 at the Venetian.

I feel confident saying, if Trooper mixes it up, hitting places like Mirage, Venetian, Caesars, and ti, he can break his losing streak.

Trooper can't afford to keep squandering opportunities to win with WSOP in town.

I also got staked that year in a $1500 event which only had 1500 starting chips, what joke. Now its 4500. Started at 25/25 with 1 hour levels tho.

In that tourney I cashed and made the money sitting next to TJ Cloutier. He was cool, we were bsing and he was saying he has the most cashes ever, etc.
It's been 5x stacks for a few years now. You start a 1500 with 7500.

Just having a press pass doesn't give him that privilege. Generally, only those associated with the TV production get to do that unless they get special permission.

Agreed. This time of year any focus on WSOP and its various wrinkles is a good thing.

Ive heard a lot of this Patreon thing. Im fairly unfamiliar to what it is though. Bonus content for people that pay a monthly fee? Has Trooper put much extra content into this feature?

Zero.

Although I'm not sure if the Troop ever promised any rewards or content. I enjoy his videos, so I pledged $5/month.

Oh yeah Patreon is basically a platform for you to support content creators.

Is DNeg still going off on the WSOP player of the year point calculation methodology in his Vlogs? Doesnt he realize it isnt going to change this year? And I'm sure WSOP is MORE than aware that DNeg does not like the new calculation methodology. I mean at this point, who ISNT aware DNeg doesnt like it?

As soon as he stops talking about it, I MIGHT start watching his vlog again.

But for whatever reason I like Polk's video's better than DNeg. Probably because Polk comes off as more likeable and Polk of course has more poker strategy talk in his video's. It's kind of funny though to watch DNeg run around the poker tables taking videos of people obviously annoyed by him taking video's and DNeg being clueless about it.

Pretty sure Trooper opened a Patreon in order to fund a new camera and told people he'd give them extra content.

Patreon is such a racket. I'm sure people who decide to give $1-10 a month don't even realize they're being billed for that anymore when they look at their accounts. Also, i respect you for showing you appreciation and know it's not easy to do what they do every day, but paying "content providers" on the internet when i don't have to is just something I'll never even consider. It's well documented that I'm a bit of a prick though.

He's been ranting about the POY race and point system the entire series. I have no problem with him mentioning where he's at or whatever, but the constant harping about it is very annoying.
You would think after Doug obliterated him in his last video he would tone it down a bit, but it seems it's only made him talk about it more. Other than the POY crying, I've enjoyed most of Negreanu's vlogs.

Yes, originally he did promise his Patreon viewers additional content.

I kind of have mixed feeling about Patreon. On the one hand, a content producer IS producing entertainment for their viewers, so why shouldnt the content providers get compensated. On the other hand, it can be misused in the fact the content producer can create a bunch of drama that isn't real, giving viewers an added reason to donate. You can see such well known scam artists as Eric Jacobs in his RV series "Nomadic Fanatic" do exactly that. They create situations that require money ie a new transmission when in fact nothing actually broke. In this case Eric takes advantage of his old cat lady viewers (Eric has a cat) to sucker them into giving him more money. Eric is such a terrible actor (although Eric likes to think himself quite the thespian) that anyone with any sense about them can see right through the scam, but then again you get all types watching Youtube....

I'm surprised a poker player actually hasn't taken this angle yet.....
