Also, Neeme has more subs than Trooper so it is Trooper who's endgame is to catch up to Neeme.
View counts are what matter, not subscriber counts. Views are what generate revenue. Trooper has a higher social blade ranking than Andrew, higher overall view counts than Andrew, and he averages more daily views too. It must drive Andrew crazy to know that he can't get on Trooper's level.

I love Boski's Bag&Tag hashtag. As primarily a tournament player, NOTHING compares to that feeling when you bag and tag for the night..

Not hard to accomplish more overall and daily views when you publish 5x more videos...

So Trooper has about 27k viewers but his videos barely get 20k views

Neeme has about 55k subscribers amd he seems to get about 80k views on his videos

It must kill Trooper to know that he cant even get his subscribers to watch his vids

E worries so much about putting out a ****ty vlog sometimes yet he still does a mailtime vid and calls it a day

I understand mailtime videos, but he needs to upload a normal vlog at the same time as his mailtimes vids.

I'm skeptical that Trooper get more total views than Neeme. Trooper publishes about 3x as many videos, but Andrew seems to get 5x more viewers on each one. But it's possible Trooper gets more just from residual views of his much larger back catalog.

That said, it is unsuprising that Trooper is going to have a lower view/subscriber ratio simply because he's been around so much longer. He'll have lots of people that subscribed years ago that are no longer active, but don't bother unsubscribing, while Andrew will have more people who have just started watching and haven't gotten around to subscribing yet.

Trooper averages 25k views/day. Andrew averages 20k views/day.

The Trailer Park Boys letter in mailtime made the whole video worth it. I would have thought Trooper would have been a Trailer Park Boys fan but I guess maybe he's a bit older than me.

He doesn't have cable, netflix, etc and didn't have internet in his place for ages, plus he doesn't drink or smoke. I was not surprised he didn't get the troll/reference though he did seem to think it could be a TV show so he must have heard of them once upon a time in passing.

Trolls don't even hide the jealousy anymore, this group is evolving.

Trooper's vlog is the equivalent of an old man nit-grinding out his rent check at the low stakes poker table. He's the guy that makes $8/hr grinding but puts in 60 hours a week and considers himself a professional poker player because he adds that to his SS checks and just gets by. He prays for a freeroll cash just so he go out for a nice meal for once.

Trooper is getting views but it is by literally putting out a vlog every single day no matter the quality. Instead of improving his game (his vlog), he grinds out his minimum wage till his death.

If you look at the charts on social blade (YouTube stats site), you'll see Trooper has been getting almost no views/subs until he blew up in November 2016. What could have happened just a month prior to that?

Spoiler:
Neeme premiered and blew up the poker vlogging niche on YouTube!

That's better than pursuing a balla lifestyle through gambling.

So, do we have a place for non-Vegas vlogs?

I guess my idea for pokermonk to use a different thumbnail picture didn't pay dividends, at least not yet. Sorry bud - I tried.

It's a sad world where pokermonk's subs and views pale in comparison to someone like Priestley Leng, who puts out shoddy vlogs at irregular intervals yet still manages to be near 3K subs and has 5-6k on most of his videos. No offense to him personally - just using him for a specific comparison.

Demographics probably play into this somehow. The typical YouTube user is much younger than PokerMonk so any younger vlogger will connect more with YouTube users. Also, the people who are PokerMonk's age are less likely to consistently watch something on YouTube as it is a more difficult format for them to use versus someone younger. (This is why teenage girls doing makeup get 1 million views.)

This is not a bash at anyone older, just some basic stats and logic. My parents both are heavy YouTube users but they don't watch any vlogs and were unfamiliar with the format till I explained it to them. But they watch a bunch of their own stuff on YouTube. Their friends don't use YouTube at all.

I think it speaks volumes to PokerMonk in that he is open to trying new things and learns technology quickly. He's a positive outlier for his generation.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Trooper tell everyone to sign up to his Instagram to follow him on his roadtrip?

He has like 5 pics total up from his WHOLE trip.

It's his "exclusive content" promise for his Patreon subscribers all over again. Also similar to his "gonna work out everyday at my new apartment" pledge and the whole not trying during the weight loss challenge thing.

The consensus in the mod forum appears to be PG & C.

House of Blogs is for non-poker blogs and vlogs.

Does that work for talking about poker vlogs by people who don't post on twoplustwo?

That would be up to the Mods in PG & C but generally it appears that the treads there are individual.

For this forum it is not about whether or not they post on twoplustwo, it is about whether it is Las Vegas content or not. So discussions about Las Vegas vloggers who don't post on twoplustwo is completely ok in this forum and is already happening.
