Trusted friend? Has he appeared in the vlog? Does Troop owe him money? Did his friend win a weight loss bet? Was this friend in San Diego last weekend? Does this friend have a much more successful vlog? Does this friend have a tattoo of the Troop on his ass?

I didn't know Doug Polk and Trooper97 were tight like that. I hope Tim is able to get back to 5/T soon and get his retribution on the felt.

This was something I was thinking as well, although I'm not really buying it. I think we can safely rule out PokerKraut unless it was a situation where they asked PokerKraut to stop filming and then PokerKraut defended himself by saying others like Timmy do it as well. Aside from the Kraut, Trooper's bestest friends have been PA, El Diesel, and Kelly. PA would make the most sense because it would give Trooper an excuse to not pay him back the money he owes.

It should be noted that trusting no one is a trait shared by sociopaths.

If you were crazy and did stupid things and acted like an idiot like Trooper then you would be a bigger topic of discussion. If you really want the vlog to take off, you will need to do something weird to grab people's attention.

Nothing wrong with being a real normal person in real life.
Agree with all this. Really like your vlogs and hope you continue. I will certainly keep watching. Glad you are not a train wreck. Only criticism from me is: not clogging often enough.

Keep it up and good luck.

I live in Las Vegas and started doing vlogs about treasure hunts. Real life treasure hunts. I am thinking of doing a poker vlog (which also is a treasure hunt in a way). I play 1-2 on the Strip (Stratosphere and Ballys mostly) and am not great at it but my question is what would you all want to see in a new poker vlog? What is the most important thing to you when watching a vlog? Just looking for ideas.

My channel is Cowlazars on YouTube.

I currently vlog about the Forrest Fenn treasure - a million in gold and jewels.
Breakfast Tea and Bourbon - for $50,000 (anyone in the New Orleans area?) free book giveaway
2 new treasure hunts will be coming soon - 1 for $5000 and 1 for a 22kt gold pyramid.

Poker players have the analytical mind set to solve and find these treasure hunts which can be worth a lot of money. I will be doing free book giveaways also first one is this weekend.

Oh and I was on Pawnography... ya know the game show Pawn Stars did. Here is the vlog on that one.

I see you gained this info from Trooper's facebook account. He seems to give out some good tidbits there:

Quote:
For the record, the subject matter of "trust no one" has nothing to do with Molly. Molly is an honest person and she's one of the few people that I do trust here. I was talking about the person who tried to cause trouble for me for videoing in the poker room of one of the casinos, and that person was considered a friend. The point of trust no one, is that even people who claim to like me or be my friend, I do not trust. Anonymous trolls from the internet can walk up to me and pretend to be my friend. The point is, I don't fall for it.

He says this person was considered a friend, but that he doesn't fall for people pretending to be his friend. This has me so confused.

Poker and cool shots of Vegas. That's kind of what most do now, but Vegas is so visually amazing, you'd be doing a disservice in not getting good shots for your audience. The more poker the better as well.

btw, who thinks Troop's beef is with Pure Aggression? It sure seems like it. I mean, who else does tropper know well enough in Vegas? That was his only acquaintance/friend.

I had a similar thought when I watched the latest vlog. Then I rewatched that part and Trooper says that "with the exception of a couple of people who have proven to be who they said they were."

From what I've seen and also what I've heard from a mutual friend, Carl is one of most down to earth and chill people you can meet. He's very charitable and giving of his time and he's an all around nice guy. So if (and I don't think he was) he was speaking about PA I don't believe his judgment of character would hold up.

Please expand on this idea.

If a sociopath has told you they trust you then unfortunately you have probably been duped. Distrust is quite fundamental to being a sociopath. Sociopaths don't make genuine relationships like most people. I'd recommend that you cut these sociopaths out of your life altogether. They are intriguing which is why I like to follow them from afar, but get any closer than watching their vlogs and your are playing with fire IMO.

Can't see this happening.

Trooper will be lucky to stay bankrolled for $2/$5

One bad week of monkey-tilt and trooper will be back to slinging cards somewhere.

I like the blogs a lot. In my top 5 for sure. A lot is because you're more local to me and closer in age. Plus I can relate to some of the personal stuff too. Just wish they were more frequent

Just ignore that troll. He's been saying the same thing about you for months, but he's about the only one. When he first mentioned in January that no one liked your vlogs, I C&P'ed comments from 7 others in this thread who said they enjoyed them.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=3250

Then a month later, he called your vlogs terrible again, and you even politely asked him to elaborate/provide constructive criticism to you and he just ignored you:

There have been some other mutterings as well, FWIW.

I watch your videos and will continue to do so. Where some likely might be finding fault is:

1) Your irregular posting schedule
2) You're a bit older than most of the viewing audience, and a bit more low key than most vloggers
3) Folks aren't as familiar with the casinos you frequent

If you want my advice, try to give folks a reason or vested interest to watch. Track your results, or even your weight loss. And do emphasize the recreational player aspect.

Trooper has a complex where he thinks EVERYONE is out to get him. From fans to trolls to random people who he thinks are purposely "photobombing" his vlog when in fact they are just looking back at the fat guy walking on the strip and ranting into a camera. "Why is that homeless guy so fat and why does he have a camera if he's a crazy homeless guy ranting to himself?"

This whole thing of not trusting anyone is him proving to absolutely no one that he is too smart to be tricked by anyone so if you pretend to be his friend, he's really too smart to fall for it because he has no friends and the joke is on you. It's EXTREMELY sad and a horrible way to live life but it's a complex that he has unfortunately.

It explains his loner mentality and lifestyle. But in his mind, he has so few friends because he's too smart for the world. This will eventually ruin all or most of his relationships because they will eventually get tired of being looked down upon and talked down to.

Could this latest Trooper video be a work ?
Is this the start of some type of fake feud to get youtube views ?
Other vloggers (non-poker) have used this tactic.

Throw up a graph once in a while or think of a good challenge and STICK TO IT including any punishments if you miss goals or rewards when you hit goals. I think goals will be popular because there is a whole section of 2+2 that is challenges and goals so that is a big thing for this audience.

I've watched a few of your videos pokermonk and like them and all the different places you go, noticed you don't seem too confident in your poker at times when I think you should be after listening to your hand analysis your easily good enough to beat the games
