Obv, just my first impression, but Orleans seems like an older crowd.

Very reg/rec players.

^yep, and they love calling big bets with flush draws. Even on paired boards.

Does anyone play at the Rio? They run a 2/3 game with $1000 max. That seems like a pretty big game for 2/3 and I don't see 2/3 stakes often.

this actually occurs only during the series. some nights youd be lucky to see 2k on the table.

I'm going daily to the Feb circuit event and this summer. Does the action get as crazy as advertised? like how many tables going? I was going to do a lot of sit and go's daily for the Feb circuit event.

what do you think of south point? I don't live close but wanted to check out some new poker rooms.

They didn't come there to fold.

Years ago, sick 2/5 games, WSOP 2014 is the last time I played at the Rio. Those games were free money.

I made $1500 before lunch one day.

the 1-3/2-5nlh games at Rio were noticeably fewer and of a general lesser quality this last summer, however like the year before the other rooms experienced a proliferation of good action. the other games at Rio seemed to be good action notably the big O which was always running at up to pretty high stakes and full of action junkies...hello variance.

+i watched a 100-200 limit stud8 game running with 2 players who were learning the game vs half a table of grizzled veterans, several of them mixed game bracelet winners.

At the Rio this year the normal poker room was a mad house during WSOP and the Big O in the green section looked crazy. But it was a down year for nlhe in the green section. I think years ebb and flow and there was a bit of a hangover in June this year from the disorganized madness of early June in '15.

I expect a more lively and fun cash game area in '17 than in '16 probably closer to '14

I don't know what a "real" poker player is, but in general I'd say they make themselves look pretty bad.

Trooper is crushing this challenge and is doing it profitably. Haters gonna hate.

Not quite. He didn't say he expected to play 115 hours; he said that in order to play 100 hours, he'd need to be at the casino for 115 due to all of his breaks.

And actually, based on his last video, that's an understatement. He stated that he got to MGM around 3:00pm and left at 1:50am. And of that nearly 11-hour period, he only clocked 8.2 hours of poker. That would be a ridiculous use/waste of time even on a normal day; given that he is trying to attain a goal of 100 hours in a two-week period and he began the day needing 57 hours this week, it is simply atrocious that he wasted almost 3 hours out of the 11 he spent there.

I would not say Trooper is crushing it

Trooper is two losing sessions in a row from being down for the challenge.

I think 100 hours is out of the question, and I doubt he will hit 80 hours.

Would I be correct in saying Trooper is in the One Percentile for time away from the poker table ???

Do other people leave one casino to go to another casino for a bite to eat while at the poker table ???

Imagine how rich the trooper would be if he brought a snack with him to the poker table !

The guy blames 90% of his losses on being hungry.

For as much as Trooper likes to walk around, it's strange to me that he doesn't like to jump from game to game. To me, that's the primary advantage of playing in Vegas. He seems to have a short attention span like myself, so why not mix it up? Go to one room, double up. Then go to the next room and double up. Then go to another room, if you find it to be a boring game that's no big deal...just move on to another room.

For some reason he just stays in the same game the entire time and then after 4 hours or so is bored and ready to go home.

There are several annoyances itt (myself at times likely included):

However, DC2LV get off Troopers "Mom Patrol". You come itt that Trooper doesn't even read and you nitpick every single thing anyone comments about his videos. It is possibly the single most annoy and unproductive thing currently itt not named CGJ.

Quit it, dude. No one cares about you getting the record 100% straight on every Trooper video.

Every time I see you post itt I think to myself before opening "great another post unneeded but posted to White Knight Trooper or defend Trooper over something minuscule."

95% of the time I'm right...

I jumped rooms a lot one World Series and it was by far my most profitable month over the 42 I played full time in Vegas.

Bold prediction. TheTrooper following that -450 loss will have no choice but to create another mail time video, officially proving he's quit the challenger and can't complete his goal.

I offered trooper some professional advice several months ago which he ignored. One of the more important oneson the list was to put out less Vlogs as he had just started doing daily ones.

I hope Andy Neeme keeps his one every few days uploads... Stops people getting bored. Keeps them wanting more. He will get more subs this way and will overtake Troop in no time.

Yeah you're right. I should have said he expected to be at the casino 115 hours.

It is shocking how much time he wastes while at the casino. When I play long sessions I bring a bag of almonds, a protein bar, and maybe use a comp to get a meal delivered to the table.

Playing at the nicer rooms afford you this option of food delivery (Aria/Bellagio/Encore).

TheTrooper's preparation is really pathetic. And his constant complaining about either being hungry or too full makes me think the fella has no idea about proper nutrition.

Subs as of Tuesday, November 22, 2016 (difference since October 26):

Trooper97: 11519 (+796)
Andrew Neeme: 7981 (+6565)
Pokerkraut: 797 (+121)
Tappan M: 1215 (+884)
VegasJaydon: 82 (+82)
Wheydacheese aka Taking Vegas: 73 (+73)

Trooper growing slowly. He is still the King of subs, but Andrew is closing in fast. Maybe Trooper is doing too many vlogs.
Andrew increased his subs in one month enormously. Already now he is the King of Views (his worst vlog has 12k views!).
Kraut growing slowly also. It seems his vlogs are not picking up big-time.
Tappan increased his subs even more than Trooper this month!
VegasJaydon stopped filming upside down, but did not find the subs yet.
Wheydacheese aka Taking Vegas has some long vlogs now, but did not find the subs yet either.

My prediction was that it would take Andrew at least 6 month to overtake Trooper. Now it really looks like this is going to happen in 2016!!
