Haven't watched yet but I remember when he said he felt he was no longer stressed playing 1-2 and was more comfortable at the table and playing better. Won't playing 2-5 increase his stress?

Oh well. It's more interesting when he plays 2-5 anyway. And now we'll get to see him play a lot more hours at that level. His results over the next few months will be more interesting than his results after 2 weeks of playing 2-5.

Also, after Trooper first came to Vegas he ran extremely well and gave stat updates showing his overall results, so he seemed proud of his results back then. Later he admitted he stopped giving stat updates because his results were much worse and he might have said it was embarrassing.

I'm sure he also cared about his wins and losses because he needed the money.

Trooper seems to be most popular with his newest fans. The old thread was actually very positive for a while which is probably a reason that he posted there using his normal name for so long. People started getting frustrated with him when he stopped winning and refused the help that was offered to him. He wanted to succeed but he was going to do it his way.
Steve?

Are you ok man, you seem somewhat obsessed with this thread and theTrooper97.

Outside of buildings is quite nice this time of year so i hear. Give it a try Steve you can even play James Bond.

Trooper gets so angry when his bluffs get snapped off. Who the **** cares if the guy tanked. Shut the **** up and take it on the chin. Stop whining.

Whose to say he'll last 2 months at 2/5. This ship could crash quick.

Despite hitting a $2400 bump in the road over 2 sessions at a point, he mostly just won at 2/5 so he probably doesn't think 2/5 will increase his stress at all. It will if he starts losing.

Is $1,996 his largest loss? He should have filmed cashing in the $4.

I like how Brad had mentioned some of the players in his 5/T game. Actually, the reason I watched his last vlog was to see dmoongirl (unfortunately she was mostly just there in spirit). I really wish we knew who the other players at Trooper's table were...a couple Aspergers, nobody talking or having fun..yep sounds like Bellagio 5/T to me.

Brad's video was pretty good. He has over 12k subscribers and seems a lot like Andrew. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets to 20k soon.

trooper gave it a shot. he seemed humble overall. he admitted some screw ups he made at the table.

he gets snapped on rivers quite a bit. thin calls too. and that clearly bothers him.

no idea how he lost 2k though. he didn't clearly explain the swings. makes one guess it was a punt.

i expect for sake of the vlog he'll play 2/5 way more often than 1/2. and a minimum buy in at 5/10 from time to time is good idea imo. for the roll and vlog.

I haven't stopped laughing at the tilt from Molly in San Diego.

The table hasn't stopped laughing at his outfit.

I was watching at a table so wasn't paying total attention so I could have missed it or misunderstood, but did he really say operation uptick was over? I thought he was going to drop down to 2/5 and continue with operation uptick.

I'm playing 2/5 tonight or 5/T tonight assuming I don't go completely busto at blackjack with my 1/2 and roulette winnings today. Would be cool to see our hero in his element though I am not sure I want him at my table nitting it up.

It could also affect his relationship with Molly if he starts losing fast at 2-5.

What up, it's Mr. Ducks! I'm back! Missed a few of the Trooper videos but caught up on the thread today and just watched the Easter brunch clip (not the coffee cup time) and the last vlog. Here are my thoughts on things that he's publicly said so it's fair game to laugh at him:

The guy only has 3 collared shirts and 2 are too small. How old are you? My nephews have a better wardrobe than you and they are 5 and 7!

Anyone else only watch his vlog at 2X speed in the background and still find themselves skipping forward?

So Molly chooses to be in the videos so she is up for criticism as much as any reality TV person. She seems really ditsy and dumb. She hasn't said anything close to smart in the vlog yet and I'm pretty sure Trooper is not swinging about his weight class at all. They actually work because she seems actually dumber than he is. I don't think she listens to him (always on her phone) or she doesn't get his 4th grade jokes. She actually seems like a kid in a candy store when he takes her to Bachannnal and she might just be like that. If that is the case, she's just a bimbo with a boob job and this relationship might work as both people think they are doing well for themselves. Also, I think it's fair to judge people by their friends so Molly is with Trooper so that says a LOT about her.

Their lack of chemistry (Frooper and Molly) is cringe worthy! She seems to ignore his corny jokes and pretty much whenever he talks or she might actually be below his intelligence level. I'm not quite sure. Either way, she just doesn't care when words come out of his mouth. It's really awkward to watch.

If you look at the comments, there are SO MANY deleted posts it's ridiculous. Some comment threads have 8 replies out of which 6 have been deleted. Just WOW! Trooper is so thin skinned.

At the beginning of the video, he mentioned playing 5/T in LA. Can you imagine how he could have gotten a few AWESOME vlogs with an impromptu trip to LA. Do some touristy things or non poker things on Tues and Wednesday and then hit up the Thursday and weekend games. How exciting would that be but no! Let's do the EXACT same thing he does EVERY SINGLE day. There's nothing wrong with a boring life but if you are gonna broadcast a DAILY vlog get out of your lame routine and do something. Seriously.

Trooper admits he stayed in Vegas on a Tuesday night to lose $2K at poker while his "girlfriend" went to San Diego. Anyone else see the writing on the wall? The poor sap really has no idea does he?

Trooper makes every bad decision he could to kill mission 3. I think he sabotaged it because the stress got to him or maybe he wanted to have a list of excuses to explain why he lost (variance, it was a Tuesday, better games on weekends, he stayed too long in a bad game, he should have only brought 1 buyin, he wasn't used to the game, he wished he was in San Diego, etc.) so he could tell himself that if the situation was different he would have crushed the game. That way, he can not play 5/T for another 2 years and think to himself that if he had the bankroll, he would be a rockstar at that level.

Asperger cases? Dude, you are as socially awkward as they come. You were one of those cases! The pot calling the kettle black.

Trooper was so determined to prove he wasn't scared money that he proved he was a major donk. The guy has so many chips on his shoulders. When I go to grind, I take a few deep breathes in the car and let everything go to focus on the task at hand. Trooper sits at the table and stews in his own thoughts thinking about the YouTube comments and 2+2 comments and then tilts off his money because he riles himself up like he did with his "scared money" chip of his shoulder.

Anyone else see that he takes hi YouTube money and feeds the Vegas poker economy. Plus hopefully he gets some other recs to come into town and donk off a few thousand at a game way above their level in a matter of hours. How long was his 5/T session? 2 hours? He's really a degenerate gambler at heart.

People in the comments want him to keep Operation Uptick going back at level 2 but they don't understand. Trooper is a quitter in life and he quit a ton of stuff he started (challenges, diets, grinding hours, exclusive content, and the list goes on) so he was bound to quit this operation so you can't be surprised. Anyone else would have went back to level 2 and would aim for level 3 again but he's just a quitter at heart and mind.

To the new people who don't understand why he's so polarizing:

The reason so many people "hate" on this guy is because of how he acts and treats others. We were all rooting for him when he first gave us a glimpse into his life and shared his winrate, charts, and discussed stuff for the first time. Then we saw him struggle and we all wanted to give advice and even come out to help him with coaching, discussing strategy, and how to grow his channel. Heck, a popular poker channel on YouTube benefits ALL OF US! We wanted to help a fellow poker player and a Vegas poker player at that.

Then he pretty much spit in all out faces by rejecting ALL advice and attempts to help without being humble or appreciative but by pretty much saying that we all don't know anything and should shut up. Okay, go it your own way but then when a few people would try to mention some obvious holes he has in his game and in his life, he told the entire 2+2 community (a great resource for many and the reason he went from double digit subs to 4 digit subs) to go and f*ck ourselves. And then he kept this "I'm better than everyone and no one knows as much as me attitude" about everything he did in his daily life. His vlogs got boring and his bankroll busted TWICE! And instead of just explaining how he wants to do his own thing without insulting his fans, he kept calling everyone haters, insulting them, and being a complete d*ck.

Furthermore, he shows multiple times in his vlogs that he is a major *sshole when he berated amateur players at his table, tilted off against everyone who wasn't him, and teased people after they lost (the stupid warm milk incident). And when he's not being a horrible human being at the poker table (instead of an ambassador since so many people watch his vlog) he just sits there silently and doesn't contribute to the game. Trooper is BAD for the game if it wasn't for his vlog bringing in rec players. That's the only reason some people still put up with him. Also, it seems the new followers like him because they've only seen him win and assume he's so awesome that he can tell everyone to f*ck off. They'll learn the truth as soon as he has another meltdown.

I still hope he's just a misunderstood soul but fool me once, shame on you. Act like a d*ck repeatedly and I'm just gonna call you out for being a d*ck. (Shoulder shrug.)

The last straw for many people was his money grab with Patreon and exclusive content and a sham lottery giveaway, then the videos plummeting in quality after some good content in Austria, and finally the unintentional disrespect without an apology to Poker Kraut (who I thought was his friend but they never hang out anymore) and then IGNORING a tons of his fans and deleting their comments asking about the payoff for the weight loss challenge he built up for months. He repeatedly lies about what he is gonna do as soon as it doesn't benefit him anymore and that right there says EVERYTHING about his character and true intentions. Plus he's a cranky, bitter, old man and it's funny to watch him tilt off on the littlest things. That is why I watch. It's like watching a dumb Homer Simpson without any underlying moral compass.

So if this fool is gonna keep posting daily videos of his antics (and that's what it is, antics), anyone has the right to criticize his foolishness and call him out for being a bad human being and a degenerate gambler. If he stops making vlogs, no one will pry into his life. It's like saying you can't laugh at Kim Kardashian after she airs her dirty laundry on a TV show. He just wants to YouTube paycheck and the poker paycheck without putting in the hard work and just cutting corners here and there. That's why he is where he is in life.
