In my view, Rayz could have either a) talked and had fun but played tight or b) played looser but stayed verbally silent if he was a little intimidated to talk on the stream.
He did neither. He played tight and silent. Boring as hell, might as well not have been there for large portions of the night. In a game like this, seats should be filled by those entertaining us by playing or by talking or both.
(Good examples from the past would be Phil Laak or Antonio on HSP. Played like nits but knew how to entertain by acting goofy and spazzy with table talk)
Charles did both.
Did everyone at the table need to play loose and spewy? Of course not, but to be silent as a rock and barely play hands was just lame as a viewer to watch.
I might be being hard on Rayz, I just checked out a few of his vlogs before the game and he was clearly excited about it, maybe he got nervous or just wanted to keep a low profile and not make a fool of himself.
I don't know. He seems like a cool enough dude, but I stand by my point that as a viewer I want to be entertained and the vloggers should have known as much and tried a bit harder to either chat it up at the table or play more fun hands and keep things exciting.
I hold BikeKing, Neeme and Owen and even Boski at least as responsible, though. To have so many players sitting practically mute and folding on a televised stream was just bizarre to me!
