I do not think you know what "disingenuous" means.
It would be easy to psycho-analyze Trooper and see him using so many defense mechanisms, such as denial. If I were his friend and wanted him to change, I would engage in some Inception-style manipulation, trying to plant ideas in his head in a way that allows him to think that he came up with it.
I definitely know what it means but looking back at what I wrote I didn't follow through with my original thought because it's not really correct and I rambled off into a different point and now I can't edit it. :/
^^^I may not know what a run on sentence is, though. You're right that what I started with does not make sense with what I ended up writing.
But I think what I ended up getting at is pretty much correct and you sort of added on to: He's sold on his emotional defense techniques and excuses being OK. Also if you want to help him do better you have to find a way to get him to coop your ideas as his own.
I can't even imagine him having this exchange we just had where you point something out and I go "oh, you know you're right I didn't do that right." I think he would tell you that you don't know what you're talking about or would try to convince you that what he wrote was right
When I called him out for being disingenuous posting as pistol noon and having gimmick accounts and posting here even though stating multiple times he never reads the thread - that was the correct usage
This. See it all the time - nitty players going on monkey tilt and polishing off three buy-ins. Then I'll see them the next day back to nitting it up.
I don't see that from a lot of nits. In any case, Trooper is definitely no nit. He has said that he thinks poker is a people game, not a card game, and thinks that if you're waiting for cards you're doing it wrong.
What is Trooper's combined monthly income from YouTube, Patreon, Trooperware, and Mailtime?
$2,500 per month, or so?
Enough to cover his entire nut, not including poker losses.
His current bankroll is at about 4 to 5k..
It's definitely not $2,500 a month. If it is then why isn't he playing 2-5? What was the point of Operation Uptick? Was he just trying to save his relationship and impress his gf? I know he does have far fewer fans bugging him about why he doesn't play 2-5 with all the other issues going on with him.

But let's just hypothesize you've been running bad lately, maybe running bad for 3 years or so, and you don't have an unlimited bankroll, wouldn't you want to keep the pot small until you've hit your draw ? Especially against a calling station that you can't bluff when your draw doesn't come in ?
I don't want to turn this into a poker strategy thing, because after all this is a "lifestyle" vlog, not a poker vlog.
I could write a wall of text about Trooper's poker game.
I try not to start because where do you begin knowing there is no end to the criticism you can heap upon it.
I just wish Trooper would go lose his money somewhere else besides Bally's and the Golden Nugget. I think that would make his vlog more interesting for the viewer, (me).
Trooper doesn't think like Brad or Andrew at all and he definitely wasn't thinking about what hands he had in his betting or checking range in that spot. And he obviously hasn't studied GTO; all he talks about is exploitive play. Even playing nitty, ABC poker is beyond his level of thinking. He seems to think that to reach an elite level at poker you need to soul read opponents better than everyone else. He thinks he is really good at that, and that's why he thinks he is so good at poker.

Getting a job dealing at the WSOP would be hard work but if Trooper did it next summer the vlogs would be awesome (unless WSOP heavily restricted him) and he'd make a bunch of money.
There are lots of poker vlogs but the only ones I regularly watch are Trooper and Neeme. Trooper remains an interesting guy on an interesting journey.

Every warrior has a gash on his sword. Remember you are metal, not some ass kissing whore! #NoteToSelf

Please interpret the meaning of the lyrics?
I gotta be honest with you. I didn't realize people still listened to this type of music. Definitely some redeeming qualities although I really hate this guys voice (I suppose I'm not the target demo). I feel like Trooper would do a better job of singing this song himself.
I just quickly scanned it but it appeared to be a guy hurt from a breakup and the gash in the sword is a scar from love lost but he is metal and metal is hard, cold, emotionless and can not feel pain. At least that is what I took from it. It seems like a terrible coping mechanism.
Also the song seems to promote a the Trooper lifestyle..ie live free and make others fit into your lifestyle:
"Can't you see victory!? You are now free again!
Look at me! Yeah! I live my own life
If you once tasted treason from a female - leave that!
Every warrior has a gash on his sword
Don't forget you are metal, not some ass-kissing whore
Take some under your wings, but she must kiss the ring!"
On a side note, this line reminded me of the Riddle of Steel which clearly contains the much better line
Agree re: TI cash games, but I heard the 2 p.m. Treasure Island tournament has been drawing big fields during the series. It has a very good structure..maybe the best in all of Vegas for a < $100 buy-in..MUCH better than the Mirage 2 p.m. tournament, next door..
Why does Trooper call himself Trooper? And what happened in '97?
His favorite song to play online MTT final tables to was Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" and 9❤️7❤️ was once upon a time his favorite hand. Maybe the hand he won the BBJ with
