I dunno. I always find that getting a cabana or a day bed is better value than getting a table at a club. Then again I am in my mid 30's. Real nice to have somewhere to chill when not in the pool. All those prices are food and drink mins so if you have a large group, you aren't gonna take too bad a hit. Plus these bungalows at Wet Republic come with a lot of stuff. Not exactly sure(check the website?). Whats max number of people in a group for a bungalow? I got a (corner?) daybed at Tao last summer for 6 of us. We had plenty of room, Most time we were chillin out in pool talking with people, and our waitress would find us and ask if we wanted anything. I thought that was pretty sweet.

Sort of a tangent off this but, figured I'd ask (Jay and anybody else):

Looking for the best pool party for a couple of guys in their mid-30's. We may have lost a half-step when it comes to partying and drinking, but still looking for a cool place, good looking women, definitely NOT a knucklehead convention or where we would stand out as spring break hanger-ons.

After speaking with a friend that hit Vegas last summer, under the impression that Rehab would probably not be the best fit (could be wrong?). Two that have been suggested were Encore Beach and Wet Republic - any real difference between the two or is one superior to the other in anyway? Any others we should consider? Basically looking for a more upscale-but-fun, age appropriate place. Thanks.

Re: Las Vegas Nightclub/Dayclub Questions

Hey,

I know it's quite far off but I am organising a batchelor's party in Vegas in June and was hoping you could help.

There will be 8 of us and we have a budget of around $250pp max ($2k total) for Saturday 30th June. Looking to do bottle service at a club that is decent. Is this budget workable and, if so, what would you recommend.

Thanks

Workable yes, depends on if you want a good table at a mid level club or a bad table at a top level club.

I think good table at a mid-level club would be better but it's helpful to know. I'll send you a pm nearer the time. How much time should I give before organising?

Thanks

Re: Las Vegas Nightclub/Dayclub Questions

This thread is great and it's about as close as I'll ever get to experiencing this amazing this called bottle service, at least in Vegas anyway. I wonder what proportion of the people who might spend $2k on a table are rich (and I mean life rolls in 7 figures) and how many of them are just pretending for a while. Jay might have an idea about that. Vegas is such a weird place in that I think the value of the 5 star hotels is hard to beat. You can stay at the Wynn for $119 poker rate and play in a lovely poker room, which seems ridiculously good value to me, the spas are good value, the normal pools are great but you can also spend $7k on a table a few bottles of drink in a club on a Saturday night or spend $7k to hire a tent by a pool for a day. How rich must you be to not have buyer's remorse after that? How much of it is about the spender having a good time and how much of it is about showing off to other people/ feeling like ballas or celebrities?

Jay, is it true that you sometimes get guys "making it rain". A guy at a poker table was telling me a while back that at Tryst some rapper or someone was throwing $ks worth of red birds into the air. Is this a nightly occurrence that could make entrance +EV

Well if u think spas are good value its because u enjoy it, people who do bottle service enjoy clubbing instead and don't like to wait in line. U do realize that 2k is for a group of people and u can easily do bottle service for 250-300pp which is similar to what u would spend at the spa. Do u have to have a life roll in 7 figures to do spa treatments?
Also u will probably end up spending 150 dollars(drinks and admission) on a night out anyway so bottle service is not that much more expensive especially given the perks u get.

Re: Las Vegas Nightclub/Dayclub Questions

I think your analysis is a bit off. People are on vacation and want to celebrate so they spend money. Sure, some people are rich, others just want to have a good time. You don't need to be a multi-millionaire to go off on a vacation and drop $5k for a weekend. People only get buyer's remorse if they feel like they don't get value for their money or they're not satisfied with their experience. I can't judge people's level of satisfaction or define values for them. I know guys who'd rather spend $5k on hookers than $5k partying with friends...

Yes people make it rain. $1 bills...And it's stupid. I think people that scramble around to pick them up are pretty much scum. You look like a fool, and you're going to make what? $10?

Re: Las Vegas Nightclub/Dayclub Questions

That makes more sense, who wants to be hit on the head with a chip?

According to this story, some people don't like it when girls pick up the money. Way more than $10 though! Could you be more of a prick, throwing money on the ground then shouting at working girls not to pick it up?

Yeah, my analysis is way off, $300 each for a good night out sounds ok I guess (still a lot for some drinks and some music, but whatever) but some of the numbers on this thread are lol funny to me. Standing in line for an hour and then being told to F off because you're male also sounds like a bad night out as well, so I see the value in Jay.

Which bars on the strip would be suitable for a large bachelor party on a Thursday night? We are looking to do 3 bars and a strip club, before some of the group head to a club. Any ideas on which places would accomodate us. I assume I would have to contact the bar prior to make arrangements.

It's a legit suggestion for Vinh so I stop wasting my time setting things up for him only to have him set up a table through someone else, see me out front of the club and then ask for my help getting in.

Re: Las Vegas Nightclub/Dayclub Questions

Jay,

Just curious... A big group of us (16 to be exact) are going to Xs this Sat night for a bachelor party. The best man says he has a hookup there and is getting bottle service for about $3800. Does this seem like a good deal, or just pretty standard for Xs on a Sat night?

Also, I didnt commit until last minute so I'm not included in their 16 person party. Whats the best way for one lone guy to get into a club like this without standing around for 2 hours? And I dont mind putting up some cash to save time.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not Jay, but that price is fair with the one variable being location. There really are no deals on a Saturday night. There are also a limited number of tables that will fit 16 guys. I'm guessing you might be in a cabana.

And just walk in with your buddies. It's unlikely that one more guy will up the price much, if at all, and they don't exactly count heads. Worst case - your buddy says we have one more and they say you need to buy another bottle. My guess is with 17 dudes you'll end up going over the $3800 anyway.
