Las Vegas Nightclub/Dayclub Questions

I know there had been some interest expressed in a thread like this, so I figured I'd go ahead and start one since I keep seeing new threads about nightclub info and new threads with simple questions bother me to no end. If there's no interest or whatever, mods feel free to lock it.

Let me start with a couple things:

The places to go and what night schedule:
Monday: XS or Marquee
Tuesday: Pure, Lavo or Blush
Wednesday: Surrender
Thursday: Tao, Tryst or Haze
Friday/Saturday: Anywhere

Pools:
Monday: Encore Beach Club or BARE
Tuesday/Wednesday: Whatever is open not big party days
Thursday: Liquid
Friday: Wet Republic or Marquee Day Club
Saturday: Marquee Day Club, Tao Beach, Wet Republic, Encore Beach
Sunday: Encore Beach or Rehab

Just my personal favorites YMMV

My #1 question I'm tired of answering: "How much will a table cost?" How much do you want to spend? The minimums are fairly apparent, and the best table in the house costs a lot more than the bare minimum. If you have a price point in mind, it makes everyone's life much easier.

Bottle prices at almost EVERY single club in Vegas are close to the same. They start at about $450 and go up + tax and tip. The typical bottle to person ratio is usually 1 bottle per every 4 people minimum. Better tables have higher minimums or higher fees (cash tip to the host). Busy weekends also come with higher minimums.

Cover charge at most clubs is $20-30. If you get a free entry pass, they typically do not work passed midnight and you will have to stand in line unless you're willing to tip someone at least $20 for a line pass. Dropping my name will not help you. Lots of girls may help your case for speedy entry.

If you're going to inquire about bottle service, please have a rough budget per person in mind. It helps to determine if your goals are realistic (getting bottles at XS for 4 people for $200/pp isn't happening) or where I can find you the best value for your money.

The reason I refer people to DoinVegas is because in general people don't know where they want to stay or what they want to spend so it's an easy one stop shop. If you have an idea or a budget in mind for rooms, please send KingBBinLV a message as he has tons of comps he's willing to part with at much cheaper prices.

I do not get paid by any venue.
I do have to take care of the people who hook me up or I look like a schmuck.

Feel free to fire away with any and all questions, I'm happy to be of help or entertainment.

Why do people pay $400 for a bottle in a club which costs $20 elsewhere?

I get that the bottle service concept is strange to some, but this question bothers me so much.

To put simply, you're not paying for the bottle, you're paying for the real estate which you occupy within the club. The alcohol is free.

Let's say you're 4 guys going to a nightclub in Vegas. You can either stand in line for an hour or pay $20+ to skip the line, pay a $20-30 cover per person, and then purchase drinks at the bar and walk around the club all night. OR you can pony up ~$150 each and not wait in line, not pay cover, not pay for drinks at the bar AND have a place to sit and have your own dedicated cocktail waitress and bus boy.

I was going to say, "If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand..."

The above is even MORE true for couples. We've been to Vegas with at least 20 different couples over the past eight years. Frequently, they balk at the price of bottle service until my wife says:

"Without it you don't get a place to sit, you have to wait for drinks and you don't have a safe place to leave your purse or jacket. Plus, you get a big burly guy who will walk you through the crowd to the restroom, walk you to the front of the line, wait for you to get out and walk you back. And sometimes, depending on the club and the table, you get a private restroom."

Every single couple we've been with would do it again in a heart beat, and most have.

Re: Ask a Nightclub Host (Or whatever you want to call me)

When people thank you for hooking them up at a strip club, what exactly do they mean? I thought you can just call the club and get a free ride and cover waived. Are they referring to getting a table at 11 pm on a Friday night? Or a better deal on bottle service? Or not waiting in line?

..........

I've been to XS but never got a table there. What are you saying in the bold? That 1 bottle costs > $800? Or am I misinterpreting that, and you're using 4 bottles @ $200/ea as an example of being unrealistic? I'm sure it costs that much for many of the tables at XS, but is that baseline there?

A specific question - How much for a table at XS in 1 of those cabana rooms outside in the 2-story complex, on a Friday or Saturday? Say it's in May if that matters.

Can you discuss more about how you started your job as a nightclub host / promoter? I think lots of people think it is an easy way to make money but would like to learn more about how to be successful at the position.

Re: Ask a Nightclub Host (Or whatever you want to call me)

So I have never done bottle service (may be hitting you up because I'm coming out next week).

My question is this. If I get a table and bottle service, who gets tipped? I assume waitress obviously but who else. I'm talking from the time I enter the club until i leave.
