Arizoa Charlies just north of vegas has awesome Steak and Eggs for 3.29!

My experiences from february:

Delmonico's - Lobster bisque was way too heavy and felt like a brick landed on my stomach, steak (ribeye I think) was much too greasy too, didn't feel great after that dinner

Mon Ami Gaby - we asked for a seat outside, where they put up about thirty of those mushroom gas burning heater things. After three minutes, I was about to go unconscious, so we asked to be moved inside. They made a bit of a fuss over it and weren't very friendly either. Steak was nice though.

Top of the World - great location and great food. Best dinner experience I had in Vegas. Ask for a windowside seat when you make your reservation.

Burger Bar - loved it

Grand Lux Cafe (think it's called that) at Venetian: best value dinner I saw in Vegas imo. Good food, friendly service and low prices.

Bellagio' dinner buffet is pretty awesome as well.

I think Shibuya @ the MGM is a little better than Shintaro in Bellagio, but both are very good. Shintaro is more traditional sushi, Shibuya more modern.

Aureole is great, I had my wedding reception there. Service was outstanding, amazing wine list.

Went to Batali's Enoteca San Marco in the Venetian, was very disappointed. Food was adequate at best, nothing really impressed me.

Spago @ Caesars always serves good food, imo and is a good lunch spot. Usually can walk in.

Not so fine dining, but Border Grill in Mandalay serves great food, awesome carnitas.

Red Square is Mandalay is OK, very noisy. Prob a bit overpriced for what you get

Olives in Bellagio serves great food, another awesome lunch spot, but prob need reservations. I've had like 15 diferent things there and have never been disappointed.

As for Fix, I think the food ranges from average to good. Its more of a place to be seen/gawk at hot women

Sensi in bellagio and mesa grill in MGM are both good, but forgettable.

I have never been to Craftsteak, but my sister has been there 3 times and said the service and food were excellent the first time, but has gotten worse each subsequent time and now she wont go back.

Craftwich, the sandwich place was very good; though obv not fine dining.

Nob Hill in MGM was great, but I havent been there in years. Great foie, from what I remember.

I've been to 3 -

Prime at Bellagio:

This was hands down the best steak experience I've ever had... our server was extremely knowledgeable, and helped us out making selections... the steaks were incredible, and the wide array of dipping sauces were great too. Had a nightcap out on a deck in the back of the restaurant right next to the water show. Only downside was the boring ambiance.

Kokomo at Mirage:

Pretty good... I had a New York strip steak with cajun seasoning... not much to say, just good food and decent service

Really good as well... I loved the ambiance and color of everything there. Got a ribeye for 2 which was huge and really good. We also had beef carpaccio and that was amazing.

If you are willing to go off the strip, there's this place called Rosemary's a few miles west on Sahara. It is unreal. They have a prix fixe lunch for about $25-$30, 3 courses, many choices, all amazing--they could be charging much more. Service was impeccable. My in-laws (who are sort of foodies) insisted that we go there, we got there and it's kind of in a strip mall, we thought, huh? But no question, it was stellar, among the best meals I've had.

We thought Olives had quite delicious food, and if you make a reservation and show up early, you can ask for a table outside overlooking the fountains, which is a really nice experience.

We were a little sad we didn't make it to Bouchon though. I think my wife would leave me for Thomas Keller, and we haven't even made it to any of his restaurants yet.

Including a (cheap) bottle of wine and an appetizer or soup and dessert, I think you'll probably end up somewhere around $150 / person.

The wine list is pretty impressive, it starts around $50, but the majority of prices in there are four figures.

I went to Mesa in the Bahamas and thought it was by far the best restaurant on Paradise Island.

I'll definitely be making a visit to the one in vegas.

So far this trip I've been to Mesa Grill, Le Cirque, and Picasso.

Mesa Grill was very disappointing.

Le Cirque was quite delicious. Kind of a small/too tight dining room with a less than relaxed feel, but the food was great and the sommelier was a real chill French dude once we started talking to him.

Picasso was incredible. It was my first ever 2-star Michelin restaurant and it didn't disappoint. We all got the 5 course degustation menu with the wine pairings. Absolutely just one delicious course after another. Also, in my experience, you will be seated at a table next to Alex Jacob if you go, so that's pretty cool too!

actually there is better. Circus Circus steak house is fantastic, and 1/4 the price. The best in town is probably Carne Vino now, I hear that Cut gives it a serious run for the money as well.

I second the recommendation for Rosemarys, its a local treasure near Red Rock. I think Frank needs to take me out to dinner there, do you hear that Frank? Dinner on you!

because although its very good its not in the top of the class at this stage.

I have had a friend who said the same thing, he later went back with me and fell in love with it. The key to eating at San Marco is ordering everything you can get your hands on, its a tasting experience. Think of it as the fine dining version of junk food and you will be in heaven. The must-do is the Polpette (sp?), best meatballs in the world, also make sure you start with some Crudités, deli, and cheese. Ask for a side of lardo and you will be in heaven.
