Re: Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread

going to vegas for my first visit with my girlfriend for a few days, been doing some searching here and online about nice restaurants and came up with the following:

eiffel tower at paris
sinatra restaurant
picasso
top of the world
capo's

what do people think of that list and what are the best and worst from that list in peoples opinion?

On the food, I'm pretty sure Picasso outclasses everything on that list by a pretty fair margin. The other choices have other aspects to them that you might find enjoyable but the best meal will be at Picasso.

Yeah I agree. The other places will have some charm but Picasso will blow them away.

Eiffel Tower Restaurant is a really nice place for a romantic dinner. Food is good, but not outstanding and you obv. pay for view and atmosphere.

Picasso first, followed by sinatra and the tower. Never been to Capo's, and the simple fact that the life suckage involved in entering the Stratosphere precludes any rational person finding out about top of the world would rule it out.

Depends what you're looking for, otherwise. Picasso shows up on every "best" list in LV, very formal, food great, service excellent - some people find it a bit intrusive, but that's a personal preference. Sinatra is more casual/informal, but still very nice. Tower is sort of meh, in my opinion - no better or worse than a pile of other places, although the view is nice.

I've never even heard of Capo's. Where/what is that (yeah yeah "corner of google and ***")? I assume some old school Italian?

I'll be in Vegas tomorrow night by myself. Can anyone recommend a good Japanese place on the strip that has a sushi bar? Don't really want to sit at a table for 1.
