I'd sell 100% of them, no sweat off my back, unless they work at JR.

I could think of 70% I'd sell into slavery just for the chuckle.

Re: Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread

This is a little off topic, but I thought you guys might be able to help. I'm heading to London in about 10 days, and I'm looking for restaurant recommendations, fine dining especially. I know about the Ledbury and Dinner by Heston, but reservations are a tad difficult to come by. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

Walk into dinner by Hestons 1 hour before the kitchen closes and sit at the bar. No sweat. I personally liked Heston's but I think it is not even worthy of the top 25 in the world, San Pellegrino restaurant ratings are very political, and this was a good example of politics at play. hile there, be sure to have the upside-down pineapple and also the meat fruit.

Also try Bar Boulud next door, loved it, killer cocktail program!

Bar boulud is on the radar for sure, thanks. I'm down for late dinners, but unfortunately the wife is not.

What are your favorite US restaurants, TT?

Hibiscus is very good, Pied a Terre never disappointed but is more classical French.

If you want something really crazy try Viajante and take the 12-course menu. Rasoi is good for modern Indian food. Best Spanish imo is Cambio de Tercio, no stars but really good food and great wine list.

Awesome thanks. Booked Cambio de Tercio for Friday, and Hibiscus for Saturday.

Re: Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread

I'm lazy. What's the good off-Strip inexpensive/interesting breakfast place mentioned a couple times in this thread and also in the 50 Restaurants to go to in Vegas article? Waffles were involved. I want to add this to Milos and Lotus of Siam.

Also, where is a good Strip place to go for an innovative cocktail or just a fantastic old fashioned and maybe some minor edibles, like good salami and cheese? Gotta be without loud banging club noise. Huge view is a plus, but I'm mainly after the killer cocktail.

Re: Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread

Ate at Picasso Sunday night. I had the degustation with wine pairing and the fiance had the prix fixe with wine so we could try as many things as possible. I was blown away with the meals and the wine was perfectly paired (the 5 puttonyos Tokaji with the foie course was probly the best things I have ever consumed)

Not cheap but soo worth it.

Can't recommend American Fish often enough if you're looking for a great whiskey-based classic cocktail. Great happy hour too. Sage also has a great bar for that sort of thing. If you're down at the other end of the strip, try Cut at Palazzo. They made me the both the best Sazerac and Manhattan I've had in Vegas.

Here's a pro tip: any of the Michael Mina family of restaurants (which includes American Fish but not Sage) should do whiskey correctly, since the guy who runs the bar for the company is a big whiskey guy. American Fish is really into classic cocktails, StripSteak has a scotch list that is miles long, etc.

Anyone have an opinion on Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris? Watching Kitchen Nightmares has made me curious.

After trying some fine dining places in Europe, I would have to agree that Picasso is awesome value.

I hope it wasn't Hash House. They are gimmicky and put a **** ton of food on your plate, and the food isn't terrible, but also not very good.

There's Bouchon which is on the strip but is an amazing brunch spot (same chef as French Laundry - Thomas Keller). Their "signature dish" is chicken and waffles. Definitely worth going to for brunch. They have dinner too but at its price it won't make my top 20 list, although still a solid option.
