I did a search in the thread, but nothing came up, so I don't believe anyone has mentioned KJ Kitchen yet. Really good Chinese food restaurant.

It's on Spring Mountain, just east of Jones. My family really likes that place for dinner. It's also open until 2:00 a.m. It is a little bit of a drive from the strip though.

China Mama is also good in my opinion. I've had lunch there a couple of times and it is solid.

All of these places should be less than $15-20 per person. Less than $25-30 per person if you're gorging!

Just ate at Rollin Smoke BBQ. Probably some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Highly recommended if venturing off the strip.

Just booked a 6 day trip later this month with the GF to Vegas which is 2 to 3 days longer than usual.

Never been to Hoover Dam, so thought we might rent a car one day and go check it out. (Sure I will be underwhelmed, but it is on the bucket list.)

On the way back I need a place to grab a late lunch/early dinner off strip since I have a car.

Was looking at Todd's Unique Dining Restaurant in Henderson. Any of you locals have any opinions on this place or can recommend something of similar ilk that is better.

Sushi or Thai would be fine as well. $100 to $300 for the two of us with drinks is our budget.

[x] Did a search for Todd and all that came up was Todd's English Pub on the strip. Been there and yes it is right up our alley, but not for this day trip since I will have a car.

Ate at Bacchanal tonight. I think it's better than Wicked spoon.

I agree, even only having gone to bacchanal for "brunch", I can tell it would be better for dinner.
I found wicked spoon just ok.

Haven't been to wicked spoon, but bacchanal blew my mind

I've been to Wicked Spoon a handful of times and thought it was clearly #1, then I was shocked to keep hearing people say Bacchanal was even better. I guess I will find out for myself later this week.

Was at Bacchanal twice so far this summer. The steamed crab legs are great and the desserts are even better. The $50 price tag is hefty though for causal dining and at that price point some might opt for a la carte instead.

I have also been to Wicked Spoon and found it worse than I remembered it. With these experiences in mind I'd put Bacchanal at no.1 and WS at #2.

I prefer the snow crab at wicked spoon over bacchanal.
Bacchanal limits you to how much crab you can get at a time, then you have to get back in line.

Hey guys,

i searched the last few pages but couldn't find anything relevant, so sorry if this question already came up.

I enjoyed Sen of Japan, Naked Fish and Musashi in the last years. Is there something similar or new in that direction?

Recently ate at Aria buffet and Holsteins. IMO, the buffet is of marginal quality and Holsteins had a couple of issues. Burger patty was good (maybe a bit too lean) and cooked to perfect temp but the bun has too much 'chew' to it, causing the contents to tend to squirt out with each bite. IMO, burger engineering 101 dictates a softer bun. Fries were mediocre at best.

Ugh I was all set to have Wicked Spoon over Bacchanal but now it sounds like I could be making a mistake. I had Spoon last time and absolutely loved it. Heard Bacchanal started out strong but got weaker over the last few months. Is Bacchanal $10 better than Wicked Spoon? Note: I am not a seafood fan and wouldn't eat much, if any, of the seafood at either place.

I don't think bacchanal is 10$ better than wicked spoon. They may have more food selection, but the line is ridiculous and the presentation at wicked spoon is solid.

Fortunately, I paid the extra 15$ to bypass the 1.5 hour wait when I went to Caesars which means I paid an extra 25$ on top of the buffet price.

I am not a seafood guy either and that might be why I rate bacchanal higher.

Was just looking up the Buffet of Buffets to get an idea of how we wanted to attack it later this month using the free coupon I got when I signed up for the Total Rewards CC.

And found this if anyone needs a cheap place to stay and likes to eat.

Yes, it's $10/15/25 for breakfast/lunch/dinner per visit. Taking any value out if the buffet pass.

Don't know where the wicked spoon love is coming from. Good but it's not as good as Wynn for sure or even Bellagio.

Here was a scene from In N Out on Sunday:

I literally took my food outside to eat in 117 degree weather, and it was still damn good!

+1 Wynn & Bellagio

As for in-n-out... I'm spoiled for having locations all over the Bay Area, the closest being 5 minutes away.

Around 3-4 years ago, there was a great Thai restaurant that everyone was fawning over. Does anyone know the name of that Thai restaurant?
