Best spots for a solid meal no more than $30 after tip later than 11pm midweek?

Asking for the wife for a bachelorette party.

What do you think would be good for a group (6-8?) of 22-26 year old girls. Variety of menu is important, and a good steak is appreciated.

Thanks.

There's an Outback right near the Flamingo.

I'm sure this is true, but I think they'd like something a little different. The steak isn't that important.

Not sure where price point passes from casual to fine dining, but for a group of 6-8, I'd say Jaleo

That's a pretty perfect recommendation for his specifications. +1 to Jaleo

x-posting from the sticky thread, since I know that a lot of foodies are in this thread. TIA, and sorry if you read it in both spots. Looking for something btwn casual and fine I think -- grand lux is too casual, picasso too fine.

Were probably doing a nice buffet brunch the next morning (hell we might even be doing post-bachelor(ette) party hungover buffet brunch on wedding day) which makes the dinner buffet less attractive anyway, so I shouldn't pin it all on the crowd.

But yes, tough crowd to please. I was voting for Jaleo (even after our relatively disappointing meal at e') but there has to be a slightly more accommodating option. Fine dining is pretty much out (expense + it's a party and there's gonna be some boozin!), which i feel like cuts a huge range of the "American" places out. Off strip is not completely out, but SO and I do want good food, and the off strip places we love are pretty much Thai or Japanese.

It's funny when you know everyone and their food pickiness and you're not even worried about the Celiac and the vegetarian because other people are way pickier and you just dont want to hear anyone bitch.

Battista's was suggested to me, which could be fun. But yeah this is a Saturday at 730 or so, and transportation for 40 is going to be a nightmare.

But honestly this wedding planning is so easy and going so smoothly that this part, while a bit annoying, really doesn't bother me at all.

I'm sure we're gonna be doing a few group dinners, so yeah I had completely forgotten about Battista's, and it's pretty much perfect for the group -- total comfort food. We'll definitely end up there one night, and I'll run it by bride-to-be for THE dinner.

I really appreciate the suggestions -- please keep them coming if you think of anything.

Hi Everyone,

At the risk of being flamed for not reading the whole thread/using search, I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm going to be in Vegas by myself for 5 days starting late next week. I'm staying at Aria and will be playing primarily at Aria and the Rio, but may also spend some time at Bellagio or the Venetian. I will have a car. I'm looking to compile a list of some good, casual, and convenient places to eat. Anyone want to make the list for me? All recommendations welcome - breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Thanks in advance.

next door at cosmo - holsteins
across the street at paris - mon ami gabi
across the street at pho - earl of sandwich
venetian - noodles asia or any dining offered at poker room
rio - w/e nothing special there. there's a sports deli with cheap stuff across the casino.

Thanks amused - I appreciate it! You're right - I didn't even look at the first post, but at least I was up front about it! I appreciate you listing out where each place is too - that's exactly what I needed.

if you are playing at the venetian, Grimaldi's at pallazo is a must for pizza... probably top 5 pizza in the states. also tacos el gordo is a little out of the way past the wynn but it is also very good for an affordable meal.

Hops & Harvest in Tivoli Village is legit great bar food. Basically an affordable kickass gastropub.

The unnamed pizza place on the 3rd floor of the Cosmopolitan is phenomenal. Had it the last two nights and will have a hard time not going back again tonight. 9.5/10

Tacos and Tequila at the Luxor really exceeded my expectations. I eat a lot of Mexican and T&T ranks near the top of my list now. After 11PM a lot of their appetizers are $6. 8/10

Holsteins was very good but was so hyped up that it pretty much just matched what I expected. Still a great meal. 7.5/10

There's a fast food Mexican place called Tacos Mexico on Tropicana across from the Days Inn Wild Wild West. Best value for price I've found. Tacos are $1.50/each and three tacos is a delicious, filling meal. 7/10... 9/10 if adjusted for price.

I went to their location at Morongo casino near Palm Springs and thought it was very solid all around too. Underrated place.

LOL....maybe top 5 in LV, but I am guessing you have a lot of pizza places to visit in the USA if you think Grimaldi's is top 5 in the states. Grimaldi's probably does not make it as a top 5 in its hometown, NYC.

I've been to New York, so I doubt secret pizza will be that great. I'm looking for a good deep dish, or wood fired pizza

grimaldis but theyre open at normal hours (close around 11?). i dont know what a good deep dish pizza is.

if you hold your standards of pizza up to good pizza in new york tho you're going to be disappointed a lot i think
