So the shakes you guys are referring to are alcoholic milk shakes? I checked the menu and only saw the smores one with smirnoff marshmallow alcohol. If they are as delicious as you gentlemen claim and infused with alcohol, this could be very dangerous.

They are alcoholic but u can order any of them without alcohol. I don't drink and they're still incredible

FWIW, all the best burgers in Vegas are in the steakhouses that are open for lunch. Way better beef, way more beef, get it done medium rare and let the juices be the only condiments you need. So good.

My girl is actually a bigger drinking degen than I. I was just happy to get the correct info. I fully intend to get the alcoholic version (some what dependent upon the answer to my next question) and she will probably get two But yea I imagine we'll have lunch there at least once so can definitely do a group thing.

Next Question: Are the alcoholic versions comparable in taste to the non-alc versions? Like all the people that have been gushing over them ITT, is that predominantly alcoholic or non-alc gushing? If they amazing without and with takes something away from it I would probably just get the regular and ingest alcohol via more conventional means.

Not sure where I should post this TR. Went to Centra at Caesar's. Pretty impressed with the Lamb Shank. Not a place I would necessarily seek out, but for a $35-50 dinner with no drinks it was pretty solid.

Are there any places on the strip that have a lot of ice cream and mix in choices so I can get a shake made exactly like I want?

What kind of shake did you want? Just curious.

For regular shakes and fun deserts, I recommend Max Brenner. Their food is pretty good too.

^^^Also want to hear what you're going to put in that shake Doc

Mirage buffet was surprisingly good (7.5/10) and they have SOUR PATCH KIDS at the dessert bar! I went to the renovated Aria buffet which is pretty solid now (8/10). Other meals this trip were Vdara room service (9/10), Bouchon breakfast (10/10), Earl of Sandwich (8/10), and Noname Pizza (8/10).

If you're ordering a milkshake with alcohol, keep in mind that you're not ordering it for the alcohol. You're probably better off just going non-alcohol, I can't imagine it will taste any different. If you want to order a damn drink, order a damn drink.

^^^^ this

back to the burger discussion. I enjoyed Holstein's more than KGB. Had BLT last year and it was good but would put that behind Holstein's > KGB > BLT

Still need to try Burger Bar and Gordon Ramsay's BurGR

I'm not specifically searching for a milkshake with alcohol. When I went and searched for the menu after reading the reviews here I only saw the flavors mentioned in alcoholic offerings. Thus my original question was, and still somewhat is, are the reviews for Holsteins shakes being phenomenal generally for the alcohol or non alcohol versions. I even stated that if the alcohol took away from it I would just get a shake without and ingest alcohol conventionally. With that said if they are great with the alcohol I see no reason not to try it. Especially not some guy in LVL telling me to order a damn drink instead

Had this last year at Holstein's ('grasshopper'), was very good, can barely taste any alcohol.

I also think burgerwise Holstein's > Burger Bar > BLT.

The optimal play is to order from Holstein's list of alcoholic shakes and request them without alcohol. If you want to get drunk just do a shot or something.

The fiancee got a gift certificate to a restaurant and my dessert ended up being a banana, honey, and peanut butter milk shake which got me thinking about all the different combinations of shakes someone could make which got me thinking about what restaurants in Vegas could help me with my shake fetish.

I will have to give Sugar Factory a try.

Gordon Ramsay's BurGR is awesome. It's expensive 15/ burger 7/fries. But it is the best Burger I've ever had. And the shakes are tasty if you need an increased chance of a heart attack too!
