It amazes me how anyone that has a taste for any specific type of food can show up at the Grand Lux and have a good meal. I would never have attempted to eat ribs at the Grand Lux but am really not surprised to see a positive review.

Grand Lux/Cheesecake Factory do things just good enough for people to be very satisfied. Neither of them will set new standards or ever be confused with fine dining, but they exceed the expectations people have for chain restaurants like that and that's what's most important. I used to work at CF and at least at the time they really put a lot of effort into making good dishes, more than any other chain restaurant I'd worked at. I know they cut more corners now than they did over a decade ago when I was there, but it's still not a bad meal.

I'm not a buffet connoisseur so I'm not going to rank them exactly. Here's my 5.

Bellagio
Wynn
Aria
Planet Hollywood
Rio (World)

I have heard the Bally's Sterling Brunch on Sunday's is fantastic but it's pretty expensive and you need reservations I think.

Also, I've never been to the Cosmopolitan buffet but I've heard it's pretty good so that may be in the list as well.

I've got free MGM comps for breakfast/lunch buffets with my room. Granted that buffet quality is what it is, which ones should I make an attempt to visit? Right now I'll primarily be at the MGM Grand so I'll play/eat there mostly. Any recommendations for the other MGM properties buffets?

Jabby,

Im pretty sure your buffet comps don't include Bellagio and Aria, so Mirage first.

EZ. Go to my location. BBQ b/t 4-10pm is one of the best deals in the city. Get a EI players card. Thank me later.

I hadn't eaten at Wicked Spoon (Cosmo) previously, but I went earlier this week because I recently received an offer for free buffets every Sun-Thurs throughout July. As of now, I'd have to put it #2 on my personal list right behind Wynn. I'm not much of a sweets person, but if I was really into desserts, I'd reverse the order because Wicked Spoon's desserts are phenomenal - - especially the gelato and the chocolate-covered strawberries.

CiCi's Pizza Buffet. Eastern and Trop.

Okay pizza and pasta, tasty italian salad dressing, best cinnamon rolls I ever had.

$4 lunch/$5 dinner.

Take that Wynn!

Well, it may be clear to you, but to me, Bellagio is now a distant third.
